NPOV[edit]

In addition to its heavy favoring of Indo-Pakistani culture to the exclusion of others, this article suffers from systemic and fatal WP:NPOV problems, and for that reason I would oppose its promotion to mainspace until a neutral viewpoint is taken and other viewpoints are given WP:DUE weight. Furthermore, I feel you are in violation of WP:CANVASS rules by virtue of your requests to the following pages:

  • Talk:Equality feminism
  • Talk:Sexual consent
  • Talk:Abortion debate
  • Talk:A Change of Sex
  • Talk:Abortion in Turkey
  • Talk:Bodily integrity
  • Talk:Consent
  • Talk:Freedom of choice
  • Talk:My Body My Rules
  • Talk:Reproductive rights
  • Talk:Women's rights
  • Talk:Abortion-rights movements
I find it very odd that you chose this particular grouping of article talk pages and not a few WikiProjects. Editors do not normally canvass in this way, and it's not neutral. I would suggest you take a different approach in the future. Elizium23 (talk) 16:37, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Three things:
I would not call this a canvassing issue. It's just a matter of "there are venues better suited for this kind of request". Canvassing is "notification done with the intention of influencing the outcome of a discussion in a particular way", but there's no attempt to influence a discussion here -- it's just a newish user asking for help with a draft. We want new users to do that. :)
Most of our articles start heavily favoring of US or UK culture to the exclusion of others. Something to be tagged/expanded as possible, but not in itself a problem that the article isn't finished.
All of this said, there are problems with the page. Some can be addressed through copyediting for grammar/structure, as requested. But there are also WP:TONE/WP:NPOV issues. Wikipedia should usually be pretty straightforward and dry in summarizing the best sources. I would mainly look at WP:TONE, Bookku. We don't want our articles to have a persuasive tone, but rather a neutral summary of what the sources say. I would also save the lead (the top section, above the table of contents) for last. That should just be a summary of the rest of the article, and wouldn't typically include lots of attributed quotes. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 17:45, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Elizium23 Rhododendrites
1) Being a south Asian studies student, I tried to cover which I know about.
2) Made a request for copy edit support for the aspects I know less about with a clear comment. "It is far from complete and needs proactive copy edit support to include related remaining aspects."
3) I have clearly named one section heading 'Advocacy and criticism' that means criticism is expected. And others are most welcome to add more from all sides.
4) Section "In popular culture" as of now has only one instance and is opposite of rest of article subject.
5) While I respect critical voices but I do already agree that article is in complete so I would appreciate proactive copy edit support or at least links to specific references one feels are suitable for the article. Even if any of those would be opposite my personal PoV I would be very happy to include them as long as other Wikipedians do have consensus I have no issues.
Thanks again for your kind support and warm regards

Article already present[edit]

Hi, you wrote on WikiDonne's talk page asking for help. If is what do you mean, I saw that the article is Mera Jism Meri Marzi already present. --Camelia (talk) 08:11, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am confused now. The aforementioned article was created fully formed by @Saamikhan01: on 6 March. This draft was created piecemeal on the same day by @Bookku:. They seem more or less identical in content. Did one of you plagiarize the other? I can't figure out the sequence of edits too well here. The other one suffers from the same NPOV problems I already brought up. Am I going to have to nominate it for deletion or something? Elizium23 (talk) 08:16, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Article Mera Jism Meri Marzi started by @Saamikhan01: is Pakistan and south Asia centric and @Saamikhan01: himself put such a notice on the talk page of Mera Jism Meri Marzi. It lacks global perspective which my Draft:My body my choice (Feminism) intends. If it is lacking in global perspective then more needs to be added. I have been promised by other editors to add in global perspective on the draft article I am even open towards addition of criticism also. When article is in draft stage only then what hurry you have to put it to deletion I fail to understand.
I am a south Asia studies student, and I know Mera Jism Meri Marzi article will develop separately to it's full potential since there is lot of scholarly and academic and women movement discussion from south Asia still remains to be covered. Since south Asia has different perspective a part of it will get in main proposed article Draft:My body my choice (Feminism) What is the problem in keeping both the articles separate ? I don't understand.
In any case think of merging or deletion or keeping separate later, just before we think of bringing in to main name space. I am in no hurry to bring this page to main space. I hope you and your views will allow to show understanding.
Thanks and regards
Bookku (talk) 08:40, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I went through the article and found the content somewhat different than of Mera Jism Meri Marzi though the pattern is same but as @Elizium23: thinks there is somewhat similarity so it might be that @Bookku: may thought of writing this after seeing my article and as the topic links between both so similarity is obvious. I wrote that article couple of days before Aurat March on 8 March in Pakistan and it was more focused on Aurat March's slogan. I was not in favour of adding Indian context in it at first but as Pakistan and India share cultural and language similarity to an extent so it was oky. As to this article I leave it totally unto you people to decide. Thanks! uSaamo 14:30, 29 March 2020 (UTC)

Your question on les sans pagEs[edit]

Hi I have answered here https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sujet:Vjesrtwcybywnqdd

I think first of all the introduction should define the subject, currently it is only mentionning "according to....". Then the slogan has an history and this history should be mentionned.

Maybe this article should be renamed to concern only South Asia? However we do lack an article on the slogan, that is for sure and thank you for pointing it.

Kind regards, --Nattes à chat (talk) 10:41, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
