Hospital Bed

I wrote a blog about Hospital Beds and wanted to source the Wikki but there isn't an article on Hospital beds. I wanted to source the bed measurements(80"x35") Since I'm writing the blog for work I can't stop to write an article for Wikki, but if someone else wants to, they are welcome to use my blog as a starting point. Hex Inverter

Re: Electronics --> Components --> Hex Inverter request. A Hex Inverter simply means six inverters on an integrated circuit e.g. 7404 device. Inverter (logic gate) already exists and should explain the circuit, so will add it as a redirect. Dl2000 02:10, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

The Invention of Paper

There is a request under the Education section for an article on "The Invention of Paper;" however, the paper article covers the history of paper quite nicely, so perhaps this request should be removed. -Matatigre36 03:28, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Split

Why is it that things like music and mathematics get their own pages, while engineering gets lumped together with food? I think that the sections on "Communication", "Engineering", "Computer science bla bla", "Technology and tools", "Rockets", and "Transport" should be pulled into a new Technology page. --Smack (talk) 19:00, 6 August 2005 (UTC)

No Valley theorem

This page is listed under computer science: No Valley theorem. Google has never heard of it. ([1]) Should I just delete it from the page?

Ornithropter

Wireless switch

Under Computer Science, Computing and Internet:

Wireless Switch ( Isnt this a Wireless access point ? I find it hard to see radio waves being "switched". )

Although they're similar to access points, wireless switches do exist. A quick Google ([2]) confirms this. However, I'm not sure an entire article would be useful- perhaps an expansion of the article on regular networking switches instead.

Converting to bullet list

I am converting this page into a bulleted list. Right now, with so many red links and all, it's virtually impossible to read. Bullets will also facilitate adding information, varient spellings, etc. I'll do it section by section, to minimize edit conflicts. -Rholton 20:35, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

This has the unfortunate effect of causing the page to be extremely long and harder to wade through. Can't you find some sort of compromise?

Isomorphic Projection

I think this is supposed to be "Isometric projection", which already exists. Isomorphic is some kind of Star Trek thing, according to Google.

Having read Isomorphism (as a non-mathematician) I'm not so sure - think it should be kept as Isomorphic Projection but confirmed by a number head. --Mcginnly | Natter 15:05, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Although I can't find an explicit prohibition against it, my gut instinct tells me that such a comparison article would be in violation of WP:NOT. Surely your Google-fu can help you find user comparisons and comments for each service. -- Tckma 12:40, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Duplicate content: food and drink sections. Merge?

There appears to be two food and drink sections of requested articles: one here, and one here. Should these two sections be merged? If so, I'm in favor of them getting included at culture and fine arts and not here. Eliz81(talk)(contribs) 17:38, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Section needed for Hydrogen Power/Hydrogen Fuel technology

I would like to request an article for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Schaflander Gerald Schaflander was a man in the 70's who designed and built cars which ran on Hydrogen technology, there was no gas whatsoever required. Jack Nicholson owned one of the vehicles which drove only on Hydrogen. There are many articles on the internet about it, videos on youtube of the event with Jack Nicholson driving it, but there is not yet an article about Gerald on Wikipedia.71.112.222.247 (talk) 07:06, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Request Page for RioVolt

I would like to request a page for the RioVolt mp3/CD player made by the Rio company in 1997. I've never made a wikipedia article before, so I don't feel comfortable making the page myself. But the RioVolt was a landmark mp3 player of the time and represents an important step in the evolution of mp3 players we have today. I can supply pictures if they are needed, as I still have one in working condition. Prosthesiology

I would be interested in seeing an article on prosthesiology, but I can't even decide where to request put my request! It falls under several engineering categories: mechanical, computer, electrical, biomedical, materials, etc., and could easily be placed in a category outside of engineering as well. Even though the word "prosthesiology" was in use in the engineering field 30 years ago, Googling it produces surprisingly few results. Is it possible that it's not in common use? The "Prosthetics" page is pretty general, and it concentrates more on the types of devices than the process by which they are designed. Escalation?

I'm not sure there is really enough to say about the tech support escalation process to warrant an entire article. Perhaps it could be folded in to an article about tech support. "Escalation" is merely the term used for passing a problem to a person/group who is more knowledgeable on the subject than the current tech support rep. --RavanAsteris (talk) 09:03, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Escalation can also refer to "second-level support." Companies such as Adobe outsource their tech support to India and if you can't understand Apu or he can't solve your problem, you as a customer are often transferred back to the US to be handled by an more qualified expert.BGinOC (talk) 01:44, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
