Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

Maximum023 has remained an infrequent-but-consistent editor at The Woodsman (play). Recently they created the article Edward W. Hardy, which they possibly have a close connection to (see Talk:Edward W. Hardy#Conflict of interest tag). Editor User:FreedomFighter5420 has also contributed to the new article, returning from a long hiatus (First edit since 2016 here [1]. This raised my suspicions, and looking back at both user's contributions a sock seems likely; both have edited only about The Woodsman and now Edward W. Hardy, and both attempted to remove speedy deletion tags [2] [3] from the woodsman article. The recent re-appearance of FreedomFighter mere hours after Maximum created a new article is highly suspect. It could also be meat puppetry, so checkuser is needed. Normally I would consider this occurance benign and in the past, but given Maximum's possible COI and the past collusion to remove speedy tags, this needs to be filed. Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

These accounts are all SPAs related to Edward W. Hardy although some are stale. They've created articles, templates and linked from all sorts of articles back to Hardy. The old accounts are way past stale, but it seems to make sense to add them to this SPI given that the modus operandi is identical to the previous socks. There are also a couple of IPs which I've included for completeness and depending on the findings might need blocking even if they cannot be linked to an account. See crossovers here. Three accounts are more active on commons: commons:Special:Contributions/Zombat2021, commons:Special:Contributions/MrM12345, commons:Special:Contributions/Brian.Lee1980. I can provide diffs if necessary, but it should be obvious that they are SPAs from glancing at their contribs. SmartSE (talk) 19:08, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The rest are  Stale. As usual, no No comment with respect to IP address(es) Salvio 19:37, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Pink clock Awaiting administrative action - Please, indef all the confirmed accounts, and maybe Guarneri Fan too (stale, but obviously the same group). This can be dual tagged, with Maximum023 as the suspected alt master. MarioGom (talk) 20:47, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Blocked and tagged. Closing.TheresNoTime (talk • they/them) 20:55, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • I switched the tag on Guarneri Fan to "suspected" instead of "confirmed" since that wasn't one of the accounts Salvio mentioned was confirmed. Mz7 (talk) 20:17, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
