Rollback

User:CGP05

Hello! I revert vandalism quite frequently and I would like rollback rights so I can use the AntiVandal tool to make the process faster. CGP05 (talk) 02:34, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you are failing to consistently warn editors when you revert their edits (e.g. 1, 2, 3). Why? Are you aware that we have tools such as Twinkle or Ultraviolet that make this extremely easy? -Fastily 06:05, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that. I try to warn the majority of editors that vandalize. I will ensure that I warn every time from now on. CGP05 (talk) 13:45, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please ensure that you are always leaving warnings. I can't stress enough the importance of not biting the newcomers; if you find yourself reverting good faith edits, then it's especially important to notify the editor. If you don't want to leave a template warning, that's completely fine, but you do need to leave a talk page message explaining why you reverted the edit. I note that again, you've failed to notify an editor post revert even after you promised to do so yesterday. Anyways, upon further review, I'm not seeing enough consistent counter-vandalism work to determine whether you'll be able to use the tool appropriately. I also see that you've made a total of zero reports to AIV, which is an important stop for any serious counter-vandalism patroller. Please review my feedback, and if you're still interested in the tool, then please spend at least a month actively patrolling before reapplying. As such, closing as  Not done -Fastily 06:01, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you a lot for the feedback and I will take it into account before reapplying. CGP05 (talk) 19:55, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
