No mention of "common" or "European" at the target, delete unless a justification can be provided. The page history includes copy-pasted content that the initial editor attempted to fork from Dataspaces after editors objected to its addition there, my sense is that sending it to AfD would be unnecessary bureaucracy. signed, Rosguill talk 17:58, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

These should probably all point to the same page; I propose Prohibition of drugs. Drug use is a disambiguation page. --Sangdeboeuf (talk) 01:14, 11 May 2022 (UTC) edited 06:45, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Illegal drug use may still redirect to Substance abuse, otherwise I agree. Mikael Häggström (talk) 02:09, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
From the lead of that article:"Substance abuse, also known as drug abuse, is the use of a drug in amounts or by methods which are harmful to the individual or others. It is a form of substance-related disorder. Differing definitions of drug abuse are used in public health, medical and criminal justice contexts." In other words, there are other kinds of drug abuse than illegal drug use. Recreational drug use covers illegal drug use just as well as Substance abuse. In either case, the legal aspects are better covered at Prohibition of drugs. --Sangdeboeuf (talk) 06:33, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Prohibition of drugs should be the target for all of these apart from Illegal drug use, which should be changed to be a disambig between Substance abuse and Recreational drug use. — The Anome (talk) 06:38, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That seems OK, but I would add Prohibition of drugs to the disambiguation page as well, perhaps as a "See also". Alternatively we could redirect Illegal drug use to Drug use, another disambiguation page. --Sangdeboeuf (talk) 07:13, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Illegal substances(s) and Illicit substance(s) should be retargeted to controlled substance, which seems to be the most natural place to point those phrases to. Illegal drug use being retargeted to drug use makes sense to me, since the searcher is probably more looking for use than the topic of drug criminalization overall. I don't have an opinion on the remaining redirects. — Ⓜ️hawk10 (talk) 01:53, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
