The result of the discussion was delete. signed, Rosguill talk 21:18, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in target. buidhe 20:57, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. It's a group that gets passing mentions at Russian gay propaganda law and Occupy Pedophilia#Activities but nothing in depth. Its a difficult term to google for but I get the impression it might be notable, so that combined with the lack of good targets means deletion is probably best. Thryduulf (talk) 00:54, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom, I went through the same thing as Thryduulf above and couldn't find the group in Google search results. Plus, it's also ambiguous, it can also mean parents of Russian origin or quite possibly Russian parenting styles, like some of these irrelevant search results when entering "parents of russia" into Google, among other topics. Regards, SONIC678 01:52, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. A search for родители россии in both Russian WP and Google turned up nothing relevant. Narky Blert (talk) 13:22, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I'm not sure Russian parents are notable for being notoriously anti-LGBT. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 00:38, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • They aren't (afaik), but this is not Russian parents in general it is the name of a specific anti-LGBT group trying to associate themselves with "family values" and portray themselves as representative of all parents. Thryduulf (talk) 01:52, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Göth" and "Goeth" are variants of the surname "Goethe" and should redirect to Goethe (surname) rather than to the current target. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:02, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - Non-neutral and unlikely. Beyond My Ken (talk) 22:36, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep all - They are not-neutral, but they don't redirect to the subjects they represent, so it doesn't really create a problem. I think these are very helpful for someone who may see these and not understand the meaning. They tend to have a lot of search results.—Naddruf (talk ~ contribs) 16:30, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete pejorative and not mentioned on the page. We aren't doing readers a service by decieving them into thinking that they are going to get meaningful results for something. They'd be better off searching Urban Dictionary. (t · c) buidhe 18:06, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Modwena[edit]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Modwenna. signed, Rosguill talk 21:17, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Modwena" is not mentioned at the target, and without a mention it is confusing to land there and not at Modwenna. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 09:39, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quoting the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography article on Monnine: "It is not clear when and how the identification was made between the founder of Killevy, who died in 517, and St Modwenna [Modwen] of Burton (fl. before 12th cent.), whose bones were enshrined in the abbey of Burton upon Trent." In other words it's a stretch. So Modwena should redirect to Modwenna anyway, I think. If someone wants to write about this tentative stuff connecting the two articles, they can do so with whatever references there are. Charles Matthews (talk) 11:26, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong target; retarget to Sputnik 1#Launch and mission. Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 08:17, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget per nom. The section being proposed clearly is talking about the launch of Sputnik, which is what the redirect is called. OcelotCreeper (talk) 15:23, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget per nom. Nobody using this search term is going to be surprised to end up there, which is not necessarily the case with the present target. Thryduulf (talk) 00:58, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Danzig[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. signed, Rosguill talk 21:16, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In English sources, the name "Danzig" almost always refers to prior eras of the city's history, when it was part of German entities and most residents were German-speaking. Therefore the redirect could be change to History of Gdańsk. Alternately, since the band Danzig (band) and the particular entity Free City of Danzig (which was larger than the city, often called "Danzig" for short) are also very prominent, perhaps there is no primary topic and this should be disambiguated (see Danzig (disambiguation)). (This would be my first choice). buidhe 06:17, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Previous discussion at Talk:Danzig. Note that the redirect is not tagged as it is fully-protected. J947messageedits 07:25, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • WP:ROUNDROBIN with Danzig (disambiguation) per nom. The closure should be an administrator who will unprotect the redirect and do according to the consensus. --Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 08:38, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note I've added the tag to the redirect. Thryduulf (talk) 10:52, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Round-robin swap with Danzig (disambiguation) per nom and Soyuma (but first, as the latter notes, this thing should be unprotected), this term has no clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and can refer to anything on that page. Regards, SONIC678 23:14, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Primary topic based on long-term significance. Disambiguation would cause a big headache. {{Gdansk-Vote-Notice}}, which is transcluded on 129 pages, is admin-protected too. It specifically instructs editors to "use the name Danzig between 1308 and 1945", with no guidance on how to disambiguate "Danzig". Check back in 50 years to see if the band "Danzig" is still famous. A page swap of this import should probably be discussed at WP:RM rather than here, and notify WT:WikiProject Poland. – wbm1058 (talk) 03:27, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I am neutral about the Danzig band. Besides, Danzig means both Gdańsk and Free City of Danzig. Therefore, disambiguation should be necessary. If the consensus is reached that we will WP:ROUNDROBIN with Danzig (disambiguation), then we do not have to formally request that via WP:RM. I shall notify the WP Poland for their opinion. --Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 05:15, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Notified the WP Poland about this. --Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 05:17, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Danzig is the German name for Gdańsk. Yes, it is mostly used when referring to Gdańsk in the past, but it is the same place. There are thousands of existing links to Danzig, and the vast majority of them use the link to refer to the city. That other things are named after Gdańsk (Danzig), does not diminish from Gdańsk (Danzig) itself being the primary topic.--Bob not snob (talk) 07:06, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep the same subject for a really long period of time and huge usage base in this meaning. Staszek Lem (talk) 17:39, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Wbm1058 and Bob not snob, particularly with what Wbm wrote about the Gdansk Vote. Ejgreen77 (talk) 05:52, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Although previous consensus is that Gdansk is more common in English for modern contexts, Danzig is also used in modern contexts, especially in English-speaking countries outside Europe. The primary topic is the city as a whole, not just certain historical periods of it. Deryck C. 14:15, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per above keep !voters. When I see Danzig, I always assume the city. The current target also already has a hatnote linking to the disambiguation, so I don't see the point of round-robining to the dab. --pandakekok9 (talk) Junk the Philippine anti-terror law! 10:37, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is one of many events that occurred at 8:46 AM. As far as I'm aware, 8:46 AM is not a search term for, or has a primary topic of, the September 11 attacks. Since we don't have articles or redirects for specific times unless they're unambiguously in very common use or titles of specific media, I recommend delete.
