The page is a licensing violation of the Wikia article, put through a "paraphrasing tool". The output is deterministic; I could reproduce key phrases by putting the same input into the tool. So it's clearly a derivative work not credited to the original authors, violating the CC-BY-SA 3.0 license (and such a violation cannot be healed retroactively). • Delete though not because of the licensing, that is easy to fix and can be healed retroactively through edit summary attribution and attribution in the text of the article. Delete because it is fancruft that has no place in Wikipedia. TonyBallioni (talk) 01:53, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note If I where to put db-author and try again all over with the draft, would that be a good idea if I do so? I think it’s a good idea to start over from scratch with this draft and allow Sci-Fi editors to help me out with it. Would a new draft for me be a good idea, so I can try again? If I do try again, which I hope so, I will make sure to A) Make it notable and better than B) Avoid copyright violations C) Try not to add copyright violations from the Pacific Rim Wikia D) Allow Sci-Fi editors to help me with it if needed. —2012phenomenon (talk) 14:22, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete due to the current copyright issues. Additionally, 2012phenomenon, I suggest you hold off of this for a while. Articles on individual characters are in my view always dubious, because it is relatively rare for a character to receive coverage as a character, rather than as part of the larger story. This is especially true in this case, where the story in question is very recent. It is possible that a few years down the line a substantive analysis of Mako Mori as a character will be published, and at that time, an article would be appropriate. Without such, it is very easy to churn out reams of WP:CRUFT on all major characters from notable books and movies. Vanamonde (talk) 13:13, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note Honestly, I guess you can speedy delete it as "one author who requested deletion or page to be blanked" and the subpages of it. I can just create a new one (User:2012phenomenon/Mako Mori) and make it even better than this one with no copyright violation and more reliable sources. You can go ahead and just Speedy Delete it as "g7: One author who requested deletion or blanking". --2012phenomenon (talk) 19:43, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
