All prior XfDs for this page:

Stillborn portal resurrected after 2009 deletion at XfD. Seven selected articles and two bios. None of these have been updated since 2010, except the entry for Hifikepunye Pohamba was incompletely updated to reflect the end of his presidency. • Delete per the nom. This portal has been abandoned for over nine years after being dumped immediately after it was recreated. It clearly fails WP:POG's requirement that portals should be about subjects broad enough to attract large numbers of maintainers and readers. This portal has had over nine years of no maintainers and it had an abysmal 12 views per day in June and July 2019 (despite the head article Namibia having 3397 views per day in the same period). Portals stand or fall on their merits in the now, not what could someday hypothetically happen with them, and this one falls flat. I am strongly against allowing recreation, as over a decade of hard evidence and two different portal failures show Namibia is not a broad enough topic to attract readers or maintainers. • Delete with silver bullets, as per analysis by Mark S and NH12. This is a zombie portal, already deleted once and not maintained on being brought back. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:52, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nominator and per @Newshunter12 & @Robert McClenon.
This is yet another a long-abandoned mini-portal.
WP:POG requires that portals should be about "broad subject areas, which are likely to attract large numbers of interested readers and portal maintainers". This has attracted only trivially small numbers of readers, and no maintainers.
Note that WP:POG also guides that "the portal should be associated with a WikiProject (or have editors with sufficient interest)[1] to help ensure a supply of new material for the portal and maintain the portal." However, WikiProject Namibia appears to be defunct. The talk page has plenty of notifications, but the last actual discussion was in 2012.
I also oppose recreation. We have over a decade's evidence that editors don't want to maintain this one. Given that it was abandoned again after re-creation, its only useful purpose has been to serve as an illustration of the folly of re-creating abandoned portals. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 02:51, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
