What is the source for this alleged Paramount Animation logo? Google Images search results in nothing with this style. Same with TinEye.com. Perhaps it's legit, but the users who keep adding it to articles, like Kresblain and Nickelodeon745 have not explained the origin of the logo in article space. Only here does Kresbain explain the origin of the image, but a dropbox link does not qualify as WP:RS as far as I know. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:52, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This album cover is used in Love Actually article. It fails to meet WP:NFCC#3a (minimal use) and #8 (contextual significance). It is repetitive to the film poster, and it is merely decorative. Of course, one disagrees. George Ho (talk) 06:35, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The sample does not conform to WP:NFCC and does not justify how it aids a reader in understanding the article better. To be precise it fails NFCC#8 and its deletion would not be any detrimental to the readers. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 14:41, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fails WP:NFCC#3a and WP:NFCC#8: seems to be a non-notable extra cover. Stefan2 (talk) 15:17, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As the uploader I'd agree, now that the main one is out and clearly the one intended for release. --DJUnBalanced 21:57, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Crowded House is an Australian band. The image is of an American international release of "Don't Dream It's Over". I've already added the Australian cover art of the single to reflect the band's nationality. I don't see why American international cover art is needed unless it's for display to differentiate from the Australian cover art. The reasoning is inadequate to help the image meet WP:NFCC standards. Also, the article should mention prose information of both images, but I don't think the sources discuss the cover arts. George Ho (talk) 16:55, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep The alternate cover passes WP:NFCC#3a and WP:NFCC#8 as stated on Template:Infobox album, "An alternate cover that is significantly different from the original and is widely distributed and/or replaces the original has generally been held to pass this criterion.", which could be logically used for singles. The current consensus for alternate images on album/single articles are that the alternate cover has to be significantly different from the original, widely distributed and/or replacing the original would pass the criteria for identification or an alternate image that is the subject of sourced critical commentary about the image would also be acceptable. This cover is significantly different from File:Crowded house don't dream it's over australian single.jpg, was widely distributed in the United States, the song charted better in the United States than it did in Australia making it to number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and the alternate cover was the infobox image for seven years before the Australian single cover was added to the article. Aspects (talk) 22:38, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I must let you know that the cover art is of international editions, like the US one. --George Ho (talk) 16:22, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Wait a minute... The image is purely decorative, and the cover art itself is not well discussed by sources. I don't see how this discussion is different from Wikipedia:Files for deletion/2013 September 6#File:Madonna-Material-Girl-333295.jpg. --George Ho (talk) 16:35, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete I have to agree with George, the image fails WP:NFCC#8. It is a purely decorative image and does not add anything to the reader's understanding of the article. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 06:21, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
