This article is as an astonishing achievement, and a stunning monument to the human spirit. Nearly 1175 references, and one of the greatest works of scholarship anywhere on this project. A must-keep. Self-nominating to pre-empt the haters. This is what an encyclopedia can, and should be, friends. If this isn't what an encyclopedia is for, then what is?
