Fails GNG and NMUSIC — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paul W (talkcontribs) 15:56, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: See the undeletion request from Paora who offered a book citation, but did not follow up adding that to the article after undeletion. Jay 17:19, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Have added reference and expanded per undeletion request. Wilson is a significant figure in New Zealand music history, as both a singer and songwriter. He is featured in the seminal book on the development of New Zealand popular music, Blue Smoke: The Lost Dawn of New Zealand Popular Music 1918–1964 by Chris Bourke (Auckland University Press, 2010) with two pages on his life and career (pages 234–236). He was a child star, and later was HMV's first country-music signing in New Zealand, and one of New Zealand's most prolific singer-songwriters of the 1950s. He toured widely in New Zealand and Australia. More recently, songs written by him have been covered by artists including Patsy Riggir and the Topp Twins. • Keep Article now demonstrates that it meets GNG. Schwede66 18:09, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as the article has been improved since nomination by the addition of references to significant coverage in multiple reliable sources so that WP:GNG is passed and deletion is unnecessary in my view, Atlantic306 (talk) 22:44, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
