Welcome and a note[edit]

Hi -- welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy editing here. If you have any questions feel free to ask, either here or on my talk page. I also wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your edits, to scuba diving -- that article is written in British English, so it doesn't use American spellings. Proofreading as you've been doing is very helpful, so I hope you do more of it, but it's best to check first to see if the article is written in a particular version of English so you know what to fix and what to leave alone. In this case there's a template at the top of the article that says "Use British English" -- you'll normally find something like that. If you don't, you can usually guess what the language version is by looking at what spellings are already there. It's only if there are conflicting spellings that it becomes hard to tell. Anyway, welcome again, and let me know if this isn't clear. And thanks for your edits! Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:57, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the feedback. I am fairly new to writing/editing here and I'm constantly learning new things. I had not caught that template. Something more to watch out for. Thanks again, John Wordsmith1701 (talk) 13:40, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
