About Article 'UzEE'[edit]

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article UzEE, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:UzEE. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.--Fuhghettaboutit 20:36, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. I would be more careful in the Future. UzEE 01:29, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mirko Ilić[edit]

Listing a page for deletion one minute after it was created suggests there must be something extremely wrong, stupid and/or against the Wikipedia policy in there. Since I think this is not the case, I would really like to be informed about the reasons for this proposal.--Vitriden (talk) 00:31, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the reason I tagged it was there were no sources in the article to verify it, and it doesn't conform to the WP:MOS. You can contest the deletion and improve the article, if you think my actions were unjust. UzEE (TalkContribs) 00:37, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fake Identification -- Deletion --[edit]

Dear Animum,

I am writing to request clarification as to why you deleted my entry on 'Fake Identificaqtion'. It was tagged for speedy deletion by the user uzze indicating that it was a band, person, etc. I'd like to clarify that Fake Identification is not a band, it's an art and design duo that live in Los Angeles and are famous for their contribution on experimental, typographic publications they produce. I personally studied under one of the members of Fake Identification (professor Joshua Trees) at Art Center College of Design. What steps should I to republish my entry and to avoid deletion. (It's been already deleted)

Thanks

Hello, the reason I flagged you're article was that its about a group of persons. If you think that this article deserves to be on Wikipedia, you can rewrite it citing sources of the context you publish. Unreferenced content would still be subject to speedy deletion even if it is true. If you like, I would be happy to provide resources to you for writing a good article. UzEE (TalkContribs) 20:31, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi UzEE, sorry for calling you Animum and thanks for the quick response. I'm currently working on a book that includes Fake Identification and contextualizes their work over the last ten years. I'd love to write an entry on wikipedia on them because I believe their research has been influential and significative in expanding the definition of contemporary graphic design. I already have a collection of articles interviews and publications where they've been featured, but this sources are print rather than online. Is that ok? I'd would appreciate any guidance you can offer as this is my first wiki entry. Thanks for your time and patience. --Natsuo (talk) 20:56, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It would be great if you want to contribute that much to Wikipedia. Its just that you have to follow certain guidelines. You can start by looking at the five pillars of Wikipedia, and How to edit an article. The golden rules you have to follow include WP:NOT, WP:NPOV, WP:NOR, WP:V and WP:CITE. If you need help with the WikiMarkup language then you can check this fine tutorial. Since this is your first article, you should definitely take a look at writing your first article. Finally for writing a good article that meets the Wikipedia criteria of a Good Article, you need to follow the Manual of Style. As far as the question of printed sources is concerned, you should loot at citing sources to see how printed sources are handled on Wikipedia. I hope this wasn't too much info, and was helpful too. One last thing you may want to look for is that if this article would fall into an existing Wikipedia project as you would need to notify the project team about this article and they would even help you in setting it up. If you still need more guidance, then you can ask me anytime. Happy editing. UzEE (TalkContribs) 21:36, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lindemans (wine)[edit]

Thank you for your welcome message. I have added details to the Lindemans article, and hope you will condsider removing the deletion request, or tell me what else I should be adding. Hadashot Livkarim (talk) 01:10, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. I see you improved the article. What you have to do now is to cite references as per WP:CITE. You are giving external links but that is not the right way to refer to sources. If you need any help with it, all you have to do is say the magic words :). Good Luck. UzEE (TalkContribs) 01:20, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Dark_bahria.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Dark_bahria.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. There was actually no reason to delete this image. I did hold the copyrights for this image. But then again since the article has been improved to a level that this image is not needed, it should be deleted. UzEE 01:29, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Videl dbz.jpeg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Videl dbz.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 00:15, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No I dont have any other orphaned images and I will check with the Dragon Ball Community, if the want to use this image or not. UzEE 01:29, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A consensus was formed at WP:DBZ. Unfortunately it was chosen to keep this article as a redirect. So because of the consensus, I'm afraid this article will stay as a redirect. If you believe the subject deserves its own article, I suggest you take this issue to the WP:DBZ talk page and discuss this with other members of the community. Cheers!-- bulletproof 3:16 00:17, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I'll go talk to them there, but I really wish you would let me expand this article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by UzEE (talkcontribs) 01:29, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Portal:Dragon Ball[edit]

Hi UzEE/Backup. I was just thinking, since you contribute healthily to Dragon Ball-related articles, I'd like it very much if you could help me work on the Dragon Ball portal which is still under construction. I can't believe it's a bit incomplete and not formatted as hoped, as I've been too busy elsewhere (both on Wikipedia & reality wise, however, I did leave word about this portal at WP:WPDB some time ago). Though it's missing more boxes, you can add some by following this great example of one, or maybe you should get a bird's eye view firsthand at WP:PORTAL on information like rules and sampling styles. *P.S., looks like the Goku move request got a bit wacky, hope we can all agree on something. Much thanks, Lord Sesshomaru 06:09, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sesshomaru, and thanks for inviting me to work on the Dragon Ball Portal. I will definitely help you set it up. I still have a lot of homework to do about editing in WikiPedia, but I can catch-on fast. I will start to work right away.
Oh and, yeah the move may not be granted, but I guess we will reach another mutual conclusion. UzEE (TalkContribs) 03:43, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well UzEE/Backup, I was pondering, what others features should the DB portal have? Are there any at the Naruto portal that inspire you? I'm thinking a frequently asked questions box. It'd be great to hear your thoughts though. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 16:54, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I guess it would be a nice addition. But there should be some great material required to put that up! UzEE (TalkContribs) 09:37, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What ideas do you have in mind my friend? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 06:32, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Videl dbz.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Videl dbz.jpeg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —— Eagle101Need help? 23:53, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I Will Update the fair-use rationale for the image. I will try to find a better logic to put in. UzEE
I have updated the fair use rationale for the Image. Thankyou for your support. UzEE 01:29, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Image is no longer in use. Please feel free to remove it. UzEE (TalkContribs) 21:54, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Dragon Ball Portal is using this image now. Please do not remove it. UzEE (TalkContribs) 03:09, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Uh-oh, the Goku image you uploaded is up for deletion. I honestly didn't know that the drawing would still be affected by copyright. If this is so then you could instead only have Goku's face drawn & uploaded (it explains why the Tori bot picture was never deleted). PS: I really love what you did for the portal. More colours make it less dull except there's one other big problem, WP:FUC#9 does not allow non-free images outside of one article namespace, and it goes for the selected articles. From the looks of it, you may need to create faces for everyone {^_^} Regards, Lord Sesshomaru 16:22, 20 August 2007 (UTC) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sesshomaru (talkcontribs).[reply]
Ok, i'll see how many i can draw. UzEE (TalkContribs) 19:34, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Archiving[edit]

{{helpme}} Hi, I have seen people somehow archive their talk pages to maintain its size. I want to do the same with mine but dont know where to start and how to do it. Can anyone please give some info on this. P.S. I could have just searched for the info but I learned that one can ask for help this way, so I wanted to try this for myself :) Sorry for the trouble. UzEE (TalkContribs) 01:24, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You can manually move old material to a user subpage. However, there are several bots that do this automatically. See User:MiszaBot III, User:ClueBot III, and/or User:Shadowbot3 to get started. NF24(welcome, 2008!) 01:55, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requested Move of Son Goku (Dragon Ball) to Son Goku[edit]

Alright, I added my final ideas. What do you think here? Lord Sesshomaru 19:32, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I guess we have to settle foe a Disambiguination now. UzEE (TalkContribs) 20:06, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think you missed the point. If you would like, can you click here and comment? Lord Sesshomaru 20:22, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your Protection Request[edit]

Hello, I'm sorry, but I've denied your request to have your userpage protected. There's not much vandalism right now, so you can just watchlist it and revert it. Keilana 20:35, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks anyways. UzEE (TalkContribs) 20:38, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppets[edit]

If you suspect sockpuppetry, you should report him/her at suspected sockpuppetry or Requests for Checkuser. The checkuser requests usually get taken care of in a more timely fashion, I can help you file a report if you need it. Good luck. Keilana(recall) 21:33, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I have no idea about these two, so I would appreciate if you would help me. UzEE (TalkContribs) 23:13, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I'd be happy to help. Which avenue would you like to take? Keilana(recall) 23:20, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think i would like to take the checkuser route. I think that would be better. UzEE (TalkContribs) 23:40, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, can you fill out the form, or would you like help? Keilana(recall) 23:48, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well I would like to discuss the case a bit first, so that I may know that we have enough evidence. The Suspect masterpuppet already had two IPs and a puppet account blocked today (User:CHUzEE). He was using anonymous IPs to harass me, and vandalize my user page (the most recent version). But the suspect made a mistake on 19:57, December 22, 2007 and again on 19:58, December 22, 2007 while accidentally logged in from his master account. The first time he changed the warning icon into a green tick, and the second time, changed my sign to CHUzEE to mock me. This is the evidence I have managed to hunt down. With a couple of IPs and an account blocked, i think only his master account remains. Is this evidence strong enough? UzEE (TalkContribs) 00:04, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd suggest filing a WP:RFCU. Make sure it mentions the fact that they both have vandalized your userpage and ask for the CU to determine the master and additional socks, list anything that ties the accounts together. Dreadstar 00:28, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you should definitely file a request. Keilana(recall) 00:49, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Im on it right now. UzEE (TalkContribs) 01:00, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want me to list the case for you, I'd be happy to. Keilana(recall) 01:10, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh thanks but I actually listed the case before reading your reply. Its there Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/Smsarmad and I hope I did it right. UzEE (TalkContribs) 01:22, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You did it fine, I've listed it on the main page. Keilana(recall) 01:31, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for all you're support. UzEE (TalkContribs) 01:33, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's no problem, just drop me a line if you need any help in the future. Keilana(recall) 01:35, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks I will. Will please kindly sign your name in my contacts. I would appreciate that. UzEE (TalkContribs) 01:40, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I will do so. Keilana(recall) 01:45, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
