Hi. Historical guides to controversial issues in America doesn't strike me as a very strong source--and such citations also need page numbers. There was a lot of content, and much of it not clearly cited or not cited at all. The bigger question is why the article needs a policy timeline, and why that timeline doesn't start until the mid-20th century, and deals only with the US. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 14:07, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

All sentences without a direct citation at the end fall under the resource of the previously marked sentence. This is what we were instructed to do in class to avoid clutter, but I can change this if necessary. As for the sources, I had all of them approved by my professor, as well as the final product, so if that remains an issue I will need to talk to my professor. As for why a timeline is needed, our assignment was to focus on a step in the "social problems process", the step I chose was policy changes. I could not do a comprehensive timeline of the history of many countries because that was outside the scope of my class, and it I believed that some information, even if limited in scope, would be better than none. Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Schoolproject24", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it seems to stand for a group of people. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. I am not a group of people. The name is representative of the fact that I have made this account as a final project for a class where the assignment was to research and update a wikipedia page with new information. Schoolproject24 (talk) 14:04, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK--can you tell me who the professor is, and what their account is? Was any training done? I'll place a more appropriate template below. Drmies (talk) 14:07, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My professor is Marilyn Krogh, we went through the basic training in class together. Schoolproject24 (talk) 14:21, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks--can you point me to their Wikipedia account? Drmies (talk) 01:32, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you need help, check out Wikipedia's page for questions. You can also ask me by visiting my user talk page and leaving a message, or you can ask your question on this page by editing it and placing {{Help me}} before your question. Please make sure that you sign your messages on discussion pages, which is done by entering four tildes (~~~~) at the very end of it; this will automatically insert your username and the date. I also highly recommend that you review the advice for students page.

Before you create an article, make sure that you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one, please tell your instructor about creating one. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know that the article is a subject of an educational assignment as well as aid your communication with them.
