- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, Isaidnoway (talk) 17:00, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Evil eye, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it.
It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.
Always check your work for citation errors, like the ones you made here and here. Isaidnoway (talk) 17:04, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing this out and my apologies for the mistake. I will ensure to double-check the preview in future, to hopefully avoid these kinds of mistakes. Thanks again. Ronnie larko (talk) 08:38, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, in your recent edit to Emotion, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. NebY (talk) 17:07, 20 April 2024 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]
Hello Ronnie larko! Your additions to 2008 in the Palestinian territories have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's elegibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 00:37, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you Diannaa for pointing this out, I understand. I was primarily hoping to reference the facts and convey events (e.g. numbers of casualties) but upon closer reflection you are correct that in some instances I simply did not do a good job of that and did not properly paraphrase. Thank you for your work and for pointing this out to me. Lesson learned, and I shall try to be more careful and thorough in future. Thanks. Ronnie larko (talk) 08:28, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
May 2024[edit]
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, in your recent edit to Transportation engineering, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Graham87 (talk) 15:01, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks Graham, I will ensure to be more cautious in future. My thinking was around how the article highlights the significance of "scientific principles" with an internal link, while that was not the case for "technology", hence the internal link edit, but as you point out this might be overlinking... Thanks for pointing this out, appreciate it. Ronnie larko (talk) 08:45, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
