Correction of Umlauts...[edit]
I *like* what you are doing with the updates of pages to the correct spellings use of Umlaut. I would however note that User pages should generally not be changed, and talk pages are generally. I would suggest staying with mainspace and templates (Templates should generally have all redirects to other pages fixed (though if it is directed to a section in a page it should stay). I'd be happy to answer any questions on this.
As an example, Moebius strip should be corrected to Möbius strip (so https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AWhatLinksHere&target=Mobius+strip&namespace=0 has the ones that should be fixed). But https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AWhatLinksHere&target=Moebius+strip&namespace=0 may or may not be (Moebius may be appropriate if it is a title or something) Naraht (talk) 18:41, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
- I came here to make a similar point. Thanks for the useful article corrections but, per WP:TPO,
it is not necessary to bring talk pages to publishing standards, so there is no need to correct others' spelling errors, grammar, etc.

- I’ve seen this too - it seems to be your only edits. However, I am going to go one step further than the others who have commented. It’s fine, and an improvement, to correct the missing umlaut in article space. However, stop correcting editors’ talk page posts - especially as that seems to be your only contribution to Wikipedia. Making those edits can be disruptive as it can be taken as not only rude but a personal attack. It is a form of personal criticism to effectively say, outside of article space, “hey, bozo, you got the grammar wrong” in whatever language. Don’t do it. DeCausa (talk) 22:06, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
