Problem with license/terms of use for your image[edit]

Hi, Thanks for uploading your image, Image:Paul_Giambarba.jpg.

Unfortunately, there's a problem with the license; on one hand, you specify that the image was uploaded under the GFDL license. On the other hand, the upload summary says "All rights reserved."

These contradict each other; the GFDL grants certain rights of reuse. Also, I regret that due to WP's license, we cannot accept images under the terms "all rights reserved".

Would be grateful if you could clarify what you meant. Thanks! Fourohfour 13:17, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree Image:Paul Giambarba.jpg[edit]

(Further to question asked above)

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Paul Giambarba.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. Please go to its page for more information if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Fourohfour 22:46, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Further: This image has now been deleted (not by me) because we received no response. Shame, it was a good picture and improved the article.
However, we need our pictures to be freely distributable under the GFDL license, and it would be unfair (and illegal) of us to re-use your image like that if you are unwilling for that to happen.
If you don't mind freely distributing it under the GFDL terms, please feel free to re-upload it. Thanks! :-) Fourohfour 15:38, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
