Interstate 75 in Georgia[edit]

There are three issues with your addition to Interstate 75 in Georgia, neither of which have to do with factuality.

  1. The amusement park is not listed on the guide signs for that exit. Our exit lists follow the exit signage.
  2. The notes, as written, are in the wrong tone for an encyclopedia article. They also contained a grammatical error.
  3. The terminus of the cross road is a trivial detail that doesn't help a reader understand the subject of I-75 in GA.

Please discuss these concerns before restoring the content to the article. You may also want to see WP:BRD, which stands for "Bold, Revert, Discuss", a suggested process for dealing with content disputes. You were Bold to propose that edit, but it was Reverted, so now we Discuss it. Imzadi 1979  01:22, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Imzadi1979. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Oromo people that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please watch your tone in referring to other editors, even IP/anonymous editors, in edit summaries. Copyright problem icon Your addition to DNA sequencing has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Rhinopias (talk) 02:08, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:12, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

October 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Vandalism on Wikipedia. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you.  pythoncoder  (talk | contribs) 21:24, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Claire Browne (The Good Doctor).jpeg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Claire Browne (The Good Doctor).jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:42, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinitely blocked[edit]

I have indefinitely blocked your account for good hand/bad hand vandalism:

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

But I grant any non-checkuser admin licence to hear an appeal, at their discretion or under the standard offer, on any grounds other than a dispute as to the technical finding of sockpuppetry.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Dear AGK, I’ll promise that I will never create accounts in order to vandalize other articles, especially the Brian Kemp Wikipedia page.

Decline reason:

This is not sufficient. You deliberately destroyed Wikipedia's trust in you with your actions. This doesn't explain your behaviour or do anything to convince me we should start trusting you now, when you've demonstrated you can't be trusted. Yamla (talk) 17:35, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I’m really sorry for my actions on Wikipedia. I promise I will never do them anymore.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. MER-C 13:44, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

What I have been blocked for is that I created two accounts and used them abusively, which is good hand/bad hand vandalism (a form of sock puppetry). I, Humor Editori Regimori, will not continue to cause damage or disruption to the Wikipedia community and I will make more constructive contributions instead of doing those horrible acts of sock puppetry and BLP spoofing and vandalism. With this more adequate message, I will no longer use accounts abusively, vandalize articles with those accounts, classify people as dinosaurs and extinct species, send slanderous information, and also, I will definitely do well on Wikipedia just like I was doing before I was blocked, such as making constructive and useful contributions on certain articles, creating certain articles, and changing mistakes.

Decline reason:

Given that just last week you were vandalizing and that you created bad hand accounts on multiple occasions this month, I don't think you'll find an admin who is going to trust that you suddenly had a change of heart. The standard offer is probably your best way forward. Huon (talk) 17:57, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

After the passing of more than six months, I, Humor Editori Regimori, promise that I will avoid the behavior that I had done! I will make useful contributions next time and I will not be abusive with alternate accounts!

Accept reason:

Hmm. I might well have accepted your last unblock request, since you had admitted what you did and promised not to do it again, though I can see that your devious way of trying to keep your vandalism after it was deleted puts it beyond the common level of vandalism. In any case, after this much time has elapsed I don't think there is any reason not to give you another chance. I hope you will now be a constructive contributor to Wikipedia. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Jochen Wiest mug shot.jpeg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Jochen Wiest mug shot.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
