Brookes “Nashy” Newton (born March 2, 2000), known professionally as Lil Pool Boi (formally known as Nashy), is an American vocalist, rapper and record producer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is currently unsigned but has a distribution deal with Elite Music Group Cult World.

Biography[edit]

Newton attended Spring Lake Park High School, where he studied music through the MacBook they gave to students there. He began his musical career performing as a vocalist in the Cloud Rap group LIT Mafia he started in early 2015. The group released several singles that sadly can't be found due to them being deleted very early on. Although, you can still find a couple of their tracks floating around on SoundCloud. During this time he was also getting recognition from doing local shows with the Minneapolis music collective V.I.C.E. Boys. Newton found local success pretty quickly due to rap beefs with kids from his high school. He once stated "I realized I didn't want to associate myself with that kind of energy so I stopped making diss tracks". However none of the diss tracks he released can be found or have ever been re-released. The group (LIT Mafia) eventually broke up early 2018 because Luvsac had a job to attend and other personal problems came into way. That didn't stop Newton from continuing to release content. He remixed "Let Em In" by Playboi Carti in November 2018 that garnered massive plays over 100k. Which sadly received a copyright strike from Interscope Records then got taken. In 2019, his song "Pack Man" started to gain buzz which caught the eye of many indie labels.

After emerging in late 2020 with singles like Problem gaining mass popularity, he would later join Elite Music Group and go on to release his single, entitled Stuck in Reverse, in 2021.

His lyrical content usually addresses themes about sex, drug use, and relationships.
