May 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Binksternet. I wanted to let you know that some of your recent contributions to Steve Albini have been reverted or removed because they seem to be defamatory or libellous. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 14:10, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, assumed child porn advocate. try to read this more closely than you read my edit. these are from articles written by Albini himself. if you took the time to actually read my citation, you would have seen that. is it 'libelous' to add words written by the man himself? I find your sensorship of this information to be highly suspicious, contemptible and very likely guided by personal bias, as seen by your position in the music industry also as an audio engineer based in California. It's no stretch to imagine you might have had mutual colleagues, which certainly fills the criteria for personal bias. also, by your logic, much of Michael Jacksons page is libelous also. My edit was not insulting, nor could it cause legally redressable injury in this case. furthermore, these facts are unfalsifiable, so this is not defamatory, nor is it libelous. I eagerly await your explanation! Dukeofnovember (talk) 14:49, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dude accusing everybody who isn't immediately jumping the gun with you of being into CP isn't very condusive of a productive discussion Susrage (talk) 16:44, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also the only citation you provided was from a convicted terrorist Susrage (talk) 16:47, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Look Mac, you're not the first guy who committed a potential BLP violation. We already had at least one dude accusing Albini of pedophilia using the same Medium source, and Medium is unreliable as a blog site. We're already aware of Albini's use of transgressions and are finding more appropriate sources to improve his article, which unfortunately didn't get the needed dedication during Albini's life.
To think that anybody reverting your content would immediately be a supporter of Albini's provocativeness, let alone endorse child pornography and censorship, is a horrible mindset for an editor. Besides what Susrage already stated, you need to take everything you do on Wikipedia impersonally, including interactions with fellow editors. Lastly, Michael Jackson's article page is very scrutinized and well-curated and perhaps can show you a better example of how to handle BLP-related information. Please don't return this source or accuse anyone like this again. Carlinal (talk) 17:00, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
