No, adding the Wikiproject banner to a page that has nothing to do with it is considered vandalism, regardless of the subject. There is nothing in the Jimmy Buffett article about homosexuality, so thus the banner should not be there. Hurricanehink (talk) 20:20, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Hugh Grant

Please stop adding the word "Felatio" (which, incidentally, is correctly spelled "fellatio") to the Hugh Grant article. The reference source being used to defend the sentence does not use the word. Only information that is actually in the reference source should be included, particularly with respect to negative information in a biography of a living person. Please read the BLP policy. If you feel strongly that the article is incomplete without the term, please find a reliable source that supports the information and add it to the article. Risker 23:13, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

It appears that, based on your post to the talk page of the Richard Gere article, you haven't bothered to read the BLP policy. I have reverted your post, which contained at least three violations of this policy, and probably a couple of violations of the no personal attacks policy as well. Please take some time to read the policy, and to understand that one cannot insert one's own personal opinions about someone (whether negative or positive) into a biographic article. Now to brass tacks. You are adding a statement that is controversial to an article. Read the policy on biographical articles of living people - any editor can - in fact SHOULD - delete unsourced controversial/negative facts from such articles if they are not associated with a reference from a reliable source. It is up to the editor who wants to insert the material to find such a reference. Without the reference from the reliable source, anyone can delete what has been inserted. I am not going looking on the internet to find a source for an edit that I feel is completely unnecessary. The criminal charge is mentioned, by name. If you feel it is necessary to add a further description, then find a reliable source that uses the same description you want to add. Incidentally - in accordance with the BLP policy, the same standards apply to talk pages, not just articles. Risker 03:08, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Theme song

In June 2007, Clinton spoofed the much-talked-about closing scene of "Made in America", the series finale of The Sopranos, with the subject being the voting for her campaign song. The parody shows Clinton entering a diner first to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'", then Bill Clinton coming in but not getting the onion rings he really wants, while daughter Chelsea is not able to parallel park her car. Sopranos cast member Vince Curatola also appears in the skit, mimicking "Members Only Man" but with his trademark Johnny Sack glare. Then the screen goes black.[36]

The campaign song selected was Céline Dion's "You and I", which garnered political criticism from Republicans for being from a foreign (Canadian) singer and artistic criticism from those not fond of Dion's music.

Clinton/Obama ticket

Whether or not there is a Clinton/Obama ticket in the future is a non-starter in regards to adding a "possible theme song" to an article. Agree Strongly! However I will bet you a steak dinner there will be a Clinton/Obama ticket. (Mannhattans/Martinis Crab Cake for starters, New York Strip, Baked potato all the way, salad with blue cheese dressing, creamed spinach, fresh rolls (that when you open them "hot" comes out) with YOUR choice of Australian Shiraz and/or Sam Adams Lager. Your comments on my talk page

Please stop. Your comments on my talk page are completely misguided. When I removed the link to Look alike contest from the Hoover article, this was not an attack on LGBT culture. I just thought that a link to a small, sloppy article about a party game was rather silly and trivial. Now that you've replaced the link, I won't remove it again, though neither will I object if someone else removes it.

I prefer not to have your tirade, in which you accuse me of "hate crimes" on my talk page. I am fully within my rights under Wikipedia rules to remove such comments from the page. If you persist in replacing your comments, you will be violating the Wikipedia:No personal attacks rule. RedSpruce 15:53, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

If an uninvited third party may weigh in, Cr8tiv, your accusations of "hate crime" are over the top -- way over the top. One of the fundamental principles here is to assume good faith on everyone's part. Throwing a tantrum on someone else's user page does not jibe with that policy. Courtesy will always get you where you want to go at Wikipedia (unless you're literally the only one who wants to go there). Tirades in ALL CAPS will tend to have the opposite effect. Cr8tiv, you're out of line with this edit to say nothing of your other recent comments on Haizum's user page. I'm going to look into this a little deeper, but at a bare minimum you *must* maintain a civil tone when dealing with other editors. Content disputes on Wikipedia do not warrant this kind of behavior. I've blocked you for three hours. I trust that your conduct will improve upon your return.

Cr8tiv, I've reviewed your interaction with Haizum and I still find your comment to be completely unwarranted. You may feel that Haizum provoked you with this comment, but provocation is not an excuse for incivility and harassment. That said, you were probably upset by Haizum's comment. Fair enough, but ask yourself, why would a man whose first language is plainly not English (his inflections and word choice are mechanical and have a Borat "now I speak English good like fellow American) style and Mr. Haizum history of Wiki edits are mostly political have not really involved American Sports. Billie Jean King

You have added back a section and a link to the article on Billie Jean King that is unrelated and trivial. There are clear policies about links and trivia within encyclopedia articles. These reflect a consensus view. It is therefore not necessary to generate consensus for each individual article when it comes to these policies. I urge you to review WP:TRIVIA and WP:EL. If upon review of those guidelines you still believe the material you have added is of merit, then please explain clearly and with specific reference to policy on the talk page why that is the case. It is generally not advisable to insert or reinstate material that runs counter to the guidelines that have been established by long-standing community consensus. Hi, this article needs help. I've never heard of these contests but it's a big world. It would help to have some online resources that advertise these contest sor talk about them - what are they called and what are they advertised as? Have you seen one yourself or read about it?
