Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, in your recent edit to Xia dynasty, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Remsense 09:36, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please slow down a bit and read that page, most of the links you are adding are excessive. Remsense 09:40, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ok, I am sorry for that Based Chaed (talk) 09:41, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
no problem! Welcome to Wikipedia. :) Remsense 09:41, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I hate to immediately message you for something else, but in general don't remove redlinks just because they are red, they are meant to indicate pages that could be in the encyclopedia but aren't yet. Remsense 09:45, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Aren't Redlinks uncreated pages? Based Chaed (talk) 09:46, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
yes! and their purpose is to indicate to potential editors that a page could be created. if we didn't want redlinks to ever show up, they simply wouldn't. instead, they serve a purpose :) Remsense 09:47, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My point was that the lead summarizes cited content in the body of the article, and might itself have few or no citations per WP:LEADCITE. Inspect and tag the corresponding material in the body first, if need be. Remsense 11:00, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
