Baburao Kokata moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Baburao Kokata. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Clearfrienda 💬 23:53, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Sir, I have edited many articles, which article are you talking about? Akshay Rotela (talk) 17:51, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think it was the Hindu Mahasabha article. This is just a notification that articles on India, Pakistan and Afghanistan are contentious and you should be aware of that. It is not a warning and doesn't imply that you've done something wrong. --RegentsPark (comment) 00:13, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

May 2024[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Bauri (caste), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Information icon Hi Akshay Rotela! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Bairagi Brahmin (caste) several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Bairagi Brahmin (caste), please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. RegentsPark (comment) 00:15, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is a warning! You should be aware of wikipedia's policy on edit warring. You've violated it on the Bairagi Brahmin (caste) article. Please be careful going forward. RegentsPark (comment) 00:17, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will keep your advice in mind from now on. Akshay Rotela (talk) 01:16, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Mavala. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 20:50, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Sengar: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Rahio1234 09:51, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Suraj Mal Article[edit]

Recently i noticed that you have changed the caste of Maharaja Surajmal from Jat to Rajput and I can see there are many articles which suggest that he was a Jat ruler and also the books you mentioned states that he was a Jat Ruler. You have joined the Wikipedia just 15 days ago and without proper reliable sources do not change anything on Wikipedia, otherwise you may be blocked for vandalism. Thanks TheSlumPanda (talk) 17:19, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

But, there is clearly written that forfather of the Bharatpur family was Rajput of Bayana. Akshay Rotela (talk) 22:46, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In a book you mentioned earlier, it is clearly stated that “ The present ruling house of Bharatpur are Jats of the Sinsinwar Clan “ while the madan pal statement is a claim so you should use the Article talk before writing or changing anything which is controversial.
if you don’t mind can i ask from how many days you are editing Wikipedia?? TheSlumPanda (talk) 03:10, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And also you @Akshay Rotela should not remove everything from Wikipedia which is unsourced, you can use citations needed template or unsourced template TheSlumPanda (talk) 03:15, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
