I wanted to clarify why I chose to remove this paragraph. I have no problem with the statement made, only with the source that was cited. Considering the subject matter and the forum, it seems appropriate that the sources be either peer-reviewed articles/papers, or coming from someone with the expertise (i.e. a PhD) in the relevant field. Clicking on the reference link, it was apparent to me that the author of the source was not an expert in this field. His background is not in physics, but as "support staff in the biological sciences". I believe that the web page being on a Cornell University website is misleading. Perhaps what is more appropriate is removal of the source, which is what I have done.

I think it would be easier to understand your rationale if you posted it on the article's discussion page--Robert Treat (talk) 07:18, 16 January 2009 (UTC).[reply]
