Great work![edit]

Dear Útgarðaloki, I see that you are making great contributions to the article Old Norse. I know enough about runic inscriptions and Old Norse to see that your information is accurate and up-to-date, and I greatly appreciate reading what you write. I have edited for some time on Wikipedia, and unfortunately I must make you aware of the sad fact that on Wikipedia there are many people who only appreciate an article because of its inline references and the number of works cited. Sooner or later someone who knows little about the subject will add {{fact}} tags inside your text. Moreover, when a great and accurate article is nominated for Good article or Featured article, many editors will blatantly reject it because of its lack of inline citations. If you would like to avoid such problems with your contributions, you could add this kind of reference: <ref name="book1">name of author, (year), name of book, page X.</ref>. I do this all the time, because I want to avoid the frustration of seeing my work questioned. That said, I would like to thank you for all your interesting additions to the article.--Berig 14:44, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
