Welcome[edit]

Hello

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Second Treatise of the Great Seth, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text borrowed from web sites. For more information, take a look at our policy library. Happy editing! I've also marked The Devil's Walk, as the webpage looks like the same as your article although the poem itself is out of copyright. Sorry about misposting this on your user page a second ago. -Splash 14:44, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)

Ok, I'm sorry that was actually inappropriate of me. However, they were both copy-pastes and I've removed what is copyvio from the top of The Devil's Walk. Since the whole page is not copyvio now, I struck it at the copyright vio listing too, along with the Treatise thing. I'm tempted to VfD them, but I won't. And I've been far more polite to you than you were to me.-Splash 16:23, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)
  • I see you reported me to the vandalism in progress page. Why didn't you tell me, warn me, discuss with me? Respond to my apology? Put something other than copy-and-paste in the Wikipedia? -Splash 16:51, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)

Please read our No Personal Attacks policy. --W(t) 30 June 2005 03:47 (UTC)

Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --cesarb 30 June 2005 20:26 (UTC)

Stadion images[edit]

About your Stadion images. . . They state "This picture is over 50 years old and is no longer copyright protected". Unfortunately, that's not true. In Germany, images remain copyrighted until 50 years after the photographer dies. (Speer died in 1981.) In the U.S., images taken before 1933 are copyright-free - but these just barely don't qualify. Sorry, but they're copyrighted, so I've marked them as unverified. – Quadell (talk) (sleuth) 22:39, August 23, 2005 (UTC)

Page moves[edit]

Please do not move pages using copy and paste. It wreaks havoc with the edit history. Andre (talk) 01:56, September 6, 2005 (UTC)

3RR[edit]

Heya,

On Wikipedia we have a rule called the "Three Revert Rule", or "3RR" for short, which forbids people from reverting a page more than three times in any 24 period, on penalty of being blocked for 24 hours. I've noticed that you've sadly broken this on Homosexuality, and so I'm meant to block you. However, if you agree to not do so, but instead work together with the other editors on the page to discuss the matter, I will relent. Deal?

Yours,

James F. (talk) 15:24, 10 September 2005 (UTC)

For someone so terribly au fait with extactly the distinction, you do seem unable to follow it. :-)
James F. (talk) 16:04, 10 September 2005 (UTC)

As to the edit war you're raising on Homosexuality[edit]

You are free to hold the beliefs you do, unfounded as they may be. However, despite your interest in supporting your admited homophobia with scientific babble, the simple fact is that you do not define science and your friends among the "dem poofs sure is sick" don't either. The scientific comunity does. Truths are achieved through consensus, not through the speculation of individuals such as yourself, who in you particular case have a) admited to being homophobic and yet still attempt to engage in imposing your minoritarian views on the Wikipedia as fact (see the definition of Homophobia for how the fact that you admit homophobia and at the same time try to justify it is a fundamental contradiction) and b) completely ignored the calm, unbiased views that have been expressed to you on the H.sexuality article talk page, and have instead chosen to remain in a little world of your own, disregarding what was said to you and making some offhand comment on "strange people" and "disease".
So, seriously: get with the program. Engage. Think about what contributing to Wikipedia involves. Or go off, spend some money of your own on "Gayist3hbadpedialol" and get down to business there explaining everything about how imperfect Homosexuality is, instead of using a project centered from its beginning on achieving encyclopedic quality for broadcasting what you have so far not proven to be in any way more than your beliefs. Zed is a poof at 65%

Oh, also: removing calm warnings as to your potential blocking is very much out of order, sir. Zeppocity 15:53, 10 September 2005 (UTC)
And again:
(...) You should really deal with the Vandals that are deleting rather than editing. I supported my text with a citation, which they refuse to accept. There are many such citations, advise them to simply google.com them. Cordially WritersCramp 15:53, 10 September 2005 (UTC)
, while the views that are being kept in the article are not only supported by a much greater number of quotes (yay, such validation; volume of text means very little, dear) and are actually validated by the entire legal and scientific consensus, damn. I'm still actually trying to get across to you how you shouldn't be imposing your (for the what, fourth time?) MINORITARIAN views on the article, despite you being perfectly allowed to keep them. Is this working at all? I'm guessing that the simple statement of not liking the "gaylords" in your user page immediately yells "no, it really isn't", but I'm hoping it might at least make you see how to behave around here. Zeppocity 16:41, 10 September 2005 (UTC)

Talk page reversions[edit]

Since you seem to be unfamiliar with Wikipedia's standards and procedures, your talk page is not "yours" in the sense that you can prohibit people from posting messages on it. Generally, we discourage people from making substantial alterations to people's user page, but talk pages are for the use of the entire community.

You are entitled to your opinions, however distasteful they may be. You are not, however, entitled to insert your point(s) of view into Wikipedia articles and article space. To that end, this is a formal warning to stop reverting at Gender issues, or you will be blocked for vandalism.

Thank you. Exploding Boy 18:00, September 10, 2005 (UTC)

I hope that someone finally comes by to getting you banned for the sheer idiocy of your conduct and utter disrespect for your fellow Wikipedians. You can go ahead and delete this in your sheer lack of politeness and intelligence. Goodbye. Zeppocity 19:39, 10 September 2005 (UTC)

From Wikipedia:Talk_page (please note that this is official policy):

Can I do whatever I want to my own user talk page?

Most users treat their user talk pages like regular talk pages, and archive the contents periodically to a personal subpage -- either when the page gets too large, on a regular schedule, or when they take a wikivacation. Others delete comments after they have responded to them.

Actively erasing personal messages without replying (if a reply would be appropriate or polite) will probably be interpreted as hostile. In the past, this kind of behavior has been viewed as uncivil, and this can become an issue in arbitration or other formal proceedings. Redirecting your user talk page to another page (whether meant as a joke or intended to be offensive or to send a "go away" message) can also be considered a hostile act.

Feel free to decorate your personal pages as you see fit, but keep in mind that your user talk page has the important function of allowing other editors to communicate with you. People will get upset if they cannot use it for that purpose.

From Wikipedia:Talk_page_guidelines:

Behavior that is unacceptable on Wikipedia

Please note that the following are of sufficient importance to be official Wikipedia policy. Violations (and especially repeated violations) may lead to the offender being banned from Wikipedia.

No personal attacks This mainly means:

No insults: Don't write that user such and so is an idiot, or otherwise insult him/her (even if (s)he is an idiot). Instead, explain what they did wrong, why it is wrong, and how to fix it. Avoid ad-hominem attacks: Calling somebody a fascist or the like is generally not a good way of supporting your argument. Don't threaten people: For example, threatening people with "admins you know" or having them banned for disagreeing with you. Don't make legal threats: Threatening a lawsuit is highly distruptive to Wikipedia, for reasons gone into at the linked page.

Don't misrepresent other people: As a rule, refrain from editing others' comments without their permission. Though it may appear helpful to correct typing errors, grammar, etc, please do not go out of your way to bring talk pages to publishing standards, since it's not terribly productive and will tend to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Certainly don't edit someone's words to change their meaning. Editing or deleting your own words is up to you. Also avoid putting others' comments in the wrong context. (See MeatBall:ContextSwizzling).

Gender issues[edit]

Please stop altering the redirect on this page. What you are doing is considered vandalism, and will get you blocked. Exploding Boy 16:06, September 11, 2005 (UTC)

Blocked[edit]

Your account has been blocked for repeated vandalism of the Gender issues page despite repeated warnings.

This block will expire in 24 hours; you are welcome to return and continue editing at that time, if you can adhere to Wikipedia's policies, which include requirement to be civil and not to engage in vandalism. The requirement for civility means that you should refrain from making personal attacks on other users (even in your edit summaries), and should endeavor to respond to comments posted on your talk page before deleting them.

Please be aware that continued vandalism of the Gender issues page will result in a longer block, and may eventually lead to a permanent ban.

Exploding Boy 00:20, September 12, 2005 (UTC)

Your revert to my talk page[edit]

I don't think you're as ignorant as you're making yourself appear. I have never stated that you may not delete content from your talk page; I'm not going to repeat myself again, the information is all here for you to read. The content you restored on my page was vandalism. I have discussed the issue with the original poster, and don't need assistance dealing with it. Please don't revert it again. Exploding Boy 15:17, 17 September 2005 (UTC)

Please stop vandalising other users' talk pages. It has been clearly explained to you what is and is not acceptable use of talk pages, and you have been warned several times about vandalism. I suggest you get back to editing dog topics and give up this ridiculous game. Exploding Boy 17:03, 18 September 2005 (UTC)

Final warning[edit]

Stop inserting your homophobia onto other users' talk pages. Stop placing personal attacks on article talk pages. Continued vandalism of this type will result in blocking. Exploding Boy 03:39, 19 September 2005 (UTC)

Clearly, you are putting quite a lot of time and effort into getting banned for increasingly long periods of time. Do you mind if I ask why? It's not as if there aren't other users of Wikipedia who share your opinions, and they seem to co-exist with others just fine. Why is any criticism "homo spam" to you? Are you just trolling, or do you have some real problems that need to be addressed? I certainly understand this sort of topic getting you fired up, but you need to relax and consider this: Wikipedia is a valuable resource that will out-last you, me and all of the "homos" you're worried about. Don't you want to actually contribute to that? -Harmil 15:12, 19 September 2005 (UTC)

Blocked[edit]

Your account has been blocked for repeated vandalism of the other users' talk pages and continued personal attacks, despite repeated warnings.

This block will expire in 48 hours; you are welcome to return and continue editing at that time, if you can adhere to Wikipedia's policies, which include requirements to be civil and not to engage in vandalism.

Please be aware that continued vandalism and personal attacks will result in a longer block, and may eventually lead to a permanent ban.

Please acquaint yourself with:

Blocked[edit]

Your account has been blocked for one week for continuing vandalism of the Gender issues page. Given that you have been warned many times before (see above), I think this is a remarkably lenient block. Next time it will be a month. Continued behaviour of this sort will get you permanently banned. Exploding Boy 19:29, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

Adolf Hitler[edit]

No problem, and your views on homosexuality are disgusting. Staxringold 22:00, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

Not views, scientific fact, read the article and external links. The truth will set us free! WritersCramp 22:02, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
A. Genetic trend does not equal Genetic diesease. Is red hair a diesease?
B. You say we should use genetic splicing to eliminate the "diesease" of homosexuality. That, and your "I am a proud homophobic - Gaylords not welcome !" statement were what I was referring to.
And, while I hate invoking Godwin's Law so early in an arguement, the idea of manipulating genetics to create a generation of children as a particular person wants is very reminiscent of certain groups. Staxringold 22:13, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
Yup, use to be called Eugenics now it is called contemporary society. Your argument that 'Red Hair' is a disease is incorrect. This is not a malfunctioning gene; however, homosexuality is a malfunctioning gene, similiar to Huntington's disease. My last post on the matter. WritersCramp 22:19, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
If you can't back up your insane arguements, don't make them in a public place. To begin with, that single article you keep propagating says right in it,
"In addition, Hamer attempted to locate a similar gene in female homosexuals, but was unsuccessful (7). The results that Hamer's study did find though, cannot yet be accepted as absolute truth. Another study took place in 1993 by Macke et al. This study examined the same gene locus as the Hamer study, but found that it had no influence on homosexuality (8). As you can see, the results on this topic are still extremely varied and reasonably new, so it is difficult to come to any lasting conclusion."
And makes no mention of a defective gene, you just declared that and pretended that article backed your position up. That article as much states red hair is a diesease as homosexuality is. Staxringold 22:22, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

Your Views[edit]

I completely agree with your views, and I'm glad someone else like me is here. Now I feel welcome. Willy O'Brien 22:05, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Paris.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Paris.gif. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much.

Bulldog[edit]

Actually,No one knows about the true history of bulldogs. This is the most likely explanation. Theories are varied eg: pugs being ancestors. Anyway mastiffs are te ancestors of all european molossers. How else could bulldogs become so tiny and tenacious without terrier blood. The jaw is a modified version of the mastiff jaw.

I read this on moloss.com.

Batzarro 14:11, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

Other than the Dogo argentino,no other molosser breeds ancestry is 100% known. It is possible that tenacious terriers were used to reduce size. Hounds could not be used.

Besides it was 1200 we dont know what extinct breeds were there then.

Terrier is very likely.

Historians use hypotheses,so do I.

FYI no one knows about bulldog history much even historians are relying on point of view.

I dont need anymore books.I specialize in molossers and refer to moloss.com I suggest u go there if you think your historians are GOD.

One of my friends in Pakisan said that they broadcast the dogfights on local Tv. Brutal huh? Batzarro 19:30, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Grosse_Platz.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Grosse_Platz.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. Image Tagging for Image:Hitler&Speer&Gall.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hitler&Speer&Gall.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below).

If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:HitlerParis.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:52, 10 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 15:52, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Source for HitlerParis.jpg appears to be the National Archives and Records Administration (archive.gov) Heinrich Hoffman Collection. Image:Hitler1928.jpg is also part of this set, seized by the US government after World War II, and these indeed are freely-reusable images. See notes on the Hitler1928.jpg page for details. --carlb (talk) 01:55, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
