Explaining Wiki markup to other users
The <nowiki> tag is used to suppress the interpretation of Wiki markup. This is often useful to demonstrate or explain Wiki markup language to another user. Wiki markup (and Wiki tags that resemble HTML tags) that are placed between <nowiki> and </nowiki> are not interpreted, and are displayed on the page just the way they are typed. For example, [[this]] would ordinarily form a wikilink, but since it is placed between <nowiki> and </nowiki>, like this: <nowiki>[[this]]</nowiki>, no such link is formed. This is rarely of use in an actual Wikipedia article. The <nowiki> tag is helpful, for example, when asking questions at the Teahouse and explaining issues at the Village Pump as well as on an article's Talk page. In this case 'the markup code' can be displayed without being actionable. – – Read More: To add this auto-randomizing template to your user page, use {{totd-random}}

Hi![edit]
Hi! I'm TeddyBearRocker123, but you can call me TB. Or not, since no one really does. People call me TeddyBearRocker though.
I mainly edit on my mobile device, but if I have to, I use my computer. It's not really that hard, but I guess it's because I don't use the computer as much as I use my mobile device.[1]
I use SUL, so if you see me on another wiki, it may not be because I edit there; it might just be because I logged in there.
I'm bad at typing[2] , but luckily I have autocorrect. Although it is sometimes very annoying.[3]
I love userboxes, in case you didn't notice.[4] Also, I lingered around this site for a long time before making my account. [5]
My TWA Badges[edit]
What I Do[edit]
I don't really have a preference of the topic when editing articles. I just see an article that needs improvement, and I improve it.[6] I might edit an article about an island one day, and an article about a plant disease the next. That doesn't mean I know a lot about islands or plant diseases; I just improve what I know I can improve.
I classify myself as a mesopedian, gravitating toward exopedianism.[7] It's not that I hate interacting with other users; rather, I like working on articles, making small, uncontrovesial changes, and occasionally talking to other users about articles and such. However, I will probably gravitate more to metapedianism in the future.
Sometimes I won't edit for a while.[8] When this happens, I'm usually just reading Wikipedia policies/guidelines/essays.[9]
When I do edit, it's mainly copyediting, with a dash of capitalization correction.[10] I also add short descriptions; since I'm on mobile, it's easy for me to do it without any scripts.[11]
I've read a lot of the policies and guidelines so far, but if I miss something, or I do something wrong, please tell me.
Notes[edit]
- ^ Also since I'm on mobile, a lot don't work for me. I can't see topicons, and many scripts aren't compatible with my mobile device (I actually do use one script, though; it's User:BrandonXLF/TodoList). Some pages look weird, and I have to scroll sideways. I still edit with this device though, because if I didn't, I would never get anything done.
- ^ It's not always my fault. Sometimes my phone changes ' ' to 'x
- ^ Like when it corrects gibberish to hard.
- ^ I have, like, a bunch of userboxes I should have probably put on my userpage but never got around to.
- ^ There was a point where I never edited, just read and read and read...
- ^ Well, more like I look through categories... or click random buttons... or type random words into the search bar...
- ^ Basically, I work on articles and interact with users, but I work on articles more.
- ^ And by a while, I mean a day or two.
- ^ Especially the essays. They have a lot of different opinions; it's good to know all the possible ones.
- ^ Per MOS, of course.
- ^ I try, when I'm not just reading Wikipedia stuff, to do at least 1 copyedit and add at least 1 short description.
