Evaluate the drafted changes[edit]

Overall, the content you've presented provides a basic understanding of anxiety and its classification as a mental illness. However, there are a few areas that could benefit from improvement and clarification. Here is a breakdown of my feedback:

  1. Adding a Heading: It would be helpful to add a clear and concise heading to introduce the topic of anxiety. This will provide readers with a better context and structure for the information that follows.
  2. Citation and Article Title: When mentioning the article, it's important to provide a proper citation or reference. Including the article title, author, and source (such as a journal or website) would help readers find the original source of the information.
  3. Placement of the Statement about Children's Anxiety: The statement regarding signs of anxiety in children seems out of place in its current location. It would be more appropriate to include this information under a specific section related to anxiety in children or within a broader discussion on the types of anxiety disorders.
  4. Combining Sentences: You've mentioned providing an example of anxiety but haven't explicitly provided one. It would be helpful to combine the last two sentences and offer an illustrative example of anxiety to enhance readers' understanding. Additionally, consider including an example of fear in a similar context to create a balanced comparison.
  5. Bibliography and References: Instead of including references directly within the text, it's customary to create a separate "Bibliography" or "References" section at the end of the article. There, you can list the sources you have cited, using appropriate formatting and citation style.

By implementing these suggestions, your text will become more organized, coherent, and informative for readers seeking information about anxiety. Remember to ensure accurate citations and references for all sources used.

I would add a heading[edit]

Anxiety is a classified as a mental illness under the DSM-5. In the DSM-5, there are specific types of anxiety disorders such as panic disorders, social phobia, PTSD, and generalized anxiety disorder. According to the article," Children may show signs of anxiety through crying, freezing, or struggling in social interaction. (I would also make sure you add a citation, or is that the article title?) (this statement doesn't fit where you have placed it and I would recommend moving to another, more appropriate location). Anxiety is an emotion which is characterized by an unpleasant state of inner turmoil and includes feelings of dread over anticipated events. Anxiety is different from fear in that fear is defined as the emotional response to a real threat, whereas anxiety is the anticipation of a future threat. It is often accompanied by nervous behavior such as pacing back and forth, somatic complaints, and rumination. Anxiety and fear are commonly grouped together; however, the causes are different. For example, anxiety is having an umbrella up when it is sunny outside. In that case this example, having the umbrella up (? something about this sentence doesn't flow to me) is out of unnecessary preparedness. It is due to the fact of being concerned about the rain even when there are not weather conditions leading to that. (I would recommend you combine the last two sentences into one statement. Also, if you are providing an example of anxiety, would it not also be appropriate to include one using similar settings about fear?).

Anxiety is a feeling of uneasiness and worry, usually generalized and unfocused as an overreaction to a situation that is only subjectively seen as menacing. It is often accompanied by muscular tension, restlessness, fatigue, inability to catch one's breath, tightness in the abdominal region, nausea, and problems in concentration. Anxiety is closely related to fear, which is a response to a real or perceived immediate threat (fight or flight response); anxiety involves the expectation of future threat including dread. People facing anxiety may withdraw from situations which have provoked anxiety in the past.ns." anxiety disorders truly can cause an excessive amount of worry through everyday situations.
