From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Welcome to my Wikipedia page. I am Grandtubetrains, a Wikipedia user who edits all things related to railways and buses, though I do venture onto other topics periodically. I was born at Northwick Park Hospital and lived much of my life in Watford, now residing in Hampshire. I formerly used two guest accounts - though not at the same time - to view Wikipedia for several years before making first contributions to the site in July 2017. Grandtubetrains was registered on 16 August 2018, and I've been editing on this account since.

Some of my activities regarding transport including railway bashing, spotting and memorabilia collecting, such as books, maps, timetables and magazines. A particular interest is the London Underground, hence my choice of the username Grandtubetrains. Growing up alongside the Metropolitan line, I have fond memories travelling on the A60/62 Stock up until their withdrawal.

Outside of transport, my interests with photography tries to capture other elements of life, such as nature, architecture and street photography. A few of my best photos also achieved first positions in my secondary school's photography competition. Other pastimes include watching films and television shows - if it was really good, I would write it on IMDb, but I can't be arsed to do that most of the time.

Significant contributions to Wikipedia (with combination of the guest accounts) include Croxley Green railway station, Bramshot Halt railway station, the list of bus garages in London and Stagecoach South. On Wikipedia, I usually tidy up articles, puts history into chronological order or adds new content from sources I found to be interesting and useful. Although my first draft did not have much success, my first article, on subject of the Stagecoach Gold route 1 was created on 9 December 2021. I may plan to add more in future.
