Frumpter is the screen name for Zoe Strickman, the author of the "Frumpter, Chassidic Post-Law School Life as a Patent Attorney" blog which can be found at http://frumpter.blogspot.com.

The blog, while its purpose is to discuss Jewish topics and issues that arise within the life of a religious and chassidic Jew interacting with the secular world, during law school turned to discussions of apparently medical or psychological issues that law school students often mistakenly think that they have. From the pressures of law school and the many sleepless nights, it is common for a law student to think there is something wrong with them if they are unable to perform up to the high competitive standards the law school sets, and it is even more common for them to think they have a psychological disease such as bipolar, hypomania, depression, ADD, or OCD based on the lifestyle they lead as a student.

In 2006, the author finished law school, passed his bar exam and the patent bar exam, and has married, so the topics of his blog began to include subjects relating to those topics that one encounters in preparation for marriage and marriage itself, including facing personal issues that relate to and impact married life.

Zoe Strickman post-law school (today) is your average working attorney, trying to balance the fundamentals of religious practice, the responsibilities of fatherhood and home life, and the daunting career decisions that are required once a law degree is attained.
