"Venezuelan" Food

This article is kind of lame. It's more like things Venezuelans liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike than Cuisine from Venezuela, and has some factual errors too. Pepsi Cola distributes Toddy in Venezuela since long long ago, and for some reason many Venezuelans think is a local beverage when is not. For some reason too, Toddy is extremely popular in Venezuela.

Then we have cheeses like Mozarella. Venezuelan? Really? This is not a list of products made in Venezuela. There's nothing less Venezuelan than Mozzarella. The same thing with baguettes and ciabattas.

It's very sad that under Venezuelan cuisine we have two soft drinks (Frescolita and Chinotto) which are actually property and creations of American companies, just as in the case of Toddy (See Toddy (PepsiCo) for the unbelievers). Under beverage is very hard to follow on the importance of maracuja, mango and coconut juice, which are as Venezuelans as pizza because those juices are made like, everywhere (we make great pizza too, we should include it in this list).

Another kind of hilarious Venezuelan dishes here: Chocolate Mousse, Cannoli (?), Zabaglione, Insalata Caprese, etc. All those should be removed, they are not Venezuelan.

Also, cuisine is kind of a very specific word, it doesn't include Venezuela products (like cheese) but dishes made with those same products (like in recipes). Gmlegal (talk) 09:17, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
