Career[edit]

I'm removed the statement "His partner, Peter Stephens, gained a First Class honours degree in languages and is a fluent speaker of French, Italian and Portuguese", as it isn't relevant to this article. (It would, of course, be relevant to an article about Peter Stephens). I've removed references to Mr Hazell because these aren't relevant to this article but would be relevant to an article about Mr Hazell.

I've also removed the words "on combating intolerance and discrimination" from "three consecutive high level international conferences on combating intolerance and discrimination", as the article doesn't identify the conferences, and "intolerance and discrimination" is too vague.

I've changed "insisted he be accorded his proper status and not relegated to that of a servant" as not being wp:npov. Sir rupert orangepeel (talk) 09:45, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a number of factual updates based on new sources (all cited).
