Naming[edit]

I find the claim that the island is named after Rollin Salisbury a bit unlikely. First of all, I'm not sure about him being involved in the Peary Relief Expedition. The article Peary expedition to Greenland of 1891–1892 has Henry G. Bryant as second-in-command, not Salisbury. Given that the island was named by Jackson sometime between 1895-1897, there is also the possibility that the island was named after the much less obscure Lord Salisbury, then PM of the UK.[1]--Kaschelott (talk) 01:00, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
