This page is really messy and needs to be cleaned-up quite a bit. I don't know enough about the subject to do it myself, but it definitely needs to be done. Additionally, there must be a picture somewhere that wasn't drawn in MS Paint that we can use to better illustrate this device. Mrestko 18:33, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. My name is Andrew and in 1973 I started work as a junior technician at Guy's Hospital, London. My very first scanning work was using a rectilinear scanner which I recall was called a Selo (or Celo/cielo?) scanner. It was slow! The patients were usually very scared, the scan time was long, and so I had to learn to talk to the person, sometimes for 30 minutes or so.
