Tossing my view of MoSDab out the window[edit]

I see this Dab as such an exception among Dab'ns that i've done a number of things in creating it (converting from a Rdr) that i can't remember even tolerating, let alone doing myself, in years of Dab editing. I'm explaining these exceptions to MoSDab at WT:MOSDAB#The curious case of "Readmission of states", in order to elicit orderly discussion, and possibly better workarounds.

I've edited this to conform more closely to MOS:DAB and MOS:D. Two main points:

  • Pipe links to sections, etc. should not start an entry. I've simply reduced the scope of the pipe to form only the part of the entry directly related to the topic of the page, per WP:PIPING; see the example from "Ten".
  • A discussion of readmission of individual states should not be included; any term for such events should reasonably be expected to include the relevant country's name.

I would also note that this title could refer to any supranational organisation that has a concept of membership for states, particularly any in which one or more members have left and returned for any reason, for example the Commonwealth of Nations. I wonder if there is any point in it at all? --MegaSloth (talk) 02:08, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
