In this photo appears Galtieri (left) and General Oscar Luis Jofre (right), NOT General Benjamin Menendez. General Jofre, former commander of the Xth Mecanized Brigade in Malvinas, was my father.

Allegations of Mistreatment[edit]

This is a very detailed section that has little directly to do with Menendez, and more to do with the Argentine military's campaign as a whole. As such I suggest splitting that into a different article, or moving it to an article that's better suited, and also trimming a lot of the primary sources. Actually ex-Brigadier-General Mario Menéndez may end up doing time in jail. This online Argentine newspaper article along with many others I will be able to provide over the weekend classify him as a "repressor":
