Your lead helps to introduce the topic well. The structure of the last sentence of the lead paragraph was a little confusing and made me wonder whether the heroon was defined as the type of hero being worshipped, or the monument that was being used for the cult. Changing a few words would help to clarify the subject and action surrounding the heroon. Additionally, a fourth sentence could be created about the contrast in beliefs of the origin of the Nemean games.

Please do include an image! The function of the heroon as you described it made me curious as to what it looked like.

The Heroon: “Many of these structures may have been built as a part of for use during the athletic events held in honor of the hero Opheltes.” For the last sentence, I think that you can delete “and thus his connection to the heroon…” because you have explained the connection between Opheltes and the heroon well.

The Cult of Opheltes: Generals in “A group of seven Argyle general” should be made plural. I would suggest putting the sentence about the crowns of wild celery after the sentence about a second name because it expresses more continuity in idea.

Artifacts Recovered: Your topic “Articles Recovered” tempts the reader with curiosity! I’m plagued with questions about how erotic curse tablets could connect with games for a child-hero. I’ll look forward to reading your finished article at the end of the semester, if you choose to include more information about the cult activity.

Nice Bibliography! Though I cannot identify the style (as there are so many), if it is Chicago manual style then it does not need page numbers, as those would be included in the footnotes. Also, your sources are stunning and scholarly. I’m very impressed!

Hi Kat - this is a great article! As you finish it up, I have a few suggestions to make it even stronger.

Include hyperlinks to other Wikipedia pages throughout (Nemea, heroon, Opheltes, etc.).
Consider including a map that shows where Nemea is located.
Make sure to always include BCE or CE for dates -- otherwise, it will be confusing for other people reading your article in the future.
