handedness[edit]
How is it known that the writing is on the back of a right hand, rather than on the palm of a left hand? Is the other side marked with palmar creases? —Tamfang (talk) 14:54, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
Is Tirtan Tanit?[edit]
In arabian areas the Hamsa is a similar good luck hand. Often in ancient times it was inscribed with the sign of Tanit, a powerful god of the times. Is the 'o'Tirtan' of the Irulegi an invocation to Tanit or similar local god? I believe that Vasco relates to Etruscan. 1.157.9.189 (talk) 04:51, 27 March 2024 (UTC)
