Colombia International Affairs Online?[edit]

I apologize for not doing this the right way but I am not sure how to bring up this problem. I was just reading a new edit added to the page and not only is the paragraph full of weasel words but the source citation is missing or nonexistant and the CIAOnet.org organization that it comes from is even more full of weasel words. I would like to simply remove it but maybe wikipedia sees some credibility that I cant find. here is the paragraph:

Controversy. Many in the field of bereavement have found Bonanno's finding of persistent resilience in the face of potentially traumatic events controversial. Many therapists and psychiatrists, who tend to treat the chronically affected, find it hard to imagine that no treatment is needed for most people who have experienced a loss or even an extreme stressor event, such as during 9-11 or childhood sexual abuse. Further, in contrast to Freud's and his followers' ideas and prevailing popular theories, it is difficult for many people to accept laughter as a healthy response. Another difficult concept, especially in the face a potentially traumatic event when people feel pulled to help in some way, is to realize that offering treatment to otherwise well people can cause harm, by producing the symptoms they hope to avoid.[2]

Contentious words "false" and "costly mistake" in sentence[edit]

In this sentence.. "Policy and treatment for the past century has relied on the false idea that humans are not resilient, a costly mistake in human and monetary terms."

This seems to be a violation of WP:CONTENTIOUS. Furthermore this sentence seems to be missing a reliable source.

For now I will remove the words "false" and the part of the sentence after the comma as there is no source for calling this a mistake. Wallby (talk) 17:36, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
