Collaboration[edit]

Ok, I feel very fortunate to have had BD2412 overseeing this creation, and hope that some of WP's scuba editors have some time to contribute. To Pbsouthwood, RexxS - an invitation. Feel free to use the In use template and happy editing. Atsme Talk 📧 12:46, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Accident and peg leg[edit]

I never met Captain Don but have eaten at his place, been bitten by his parrot, and heard some of the legends. I don't know enough of the facts to contribute, but surely no article on Captain Don is complete without mention of the accident and peg leg. Somebody could start here: https://www.travelswithtimokeefe.com/2010/11/the-man-who-made-bonaire-famous/

The circumstances of the final sinking of the Hilma Hooker are also surrounded by uproarious legends about the pumps being "accidentally" turned off by some of the local dive operators. Both facts and legends are out there and I don't think it would hurt to mention some of the legends, as long as they're tagged as such.
