Born "in what is now considered modern day Germany"???[edit]

According to the Polish article, Ehler was born in Gdańsk, which used to be considered "modern day Germany" until like 70 years ago. So either this place of birth is incorrect, or this statement is, in a nasty way. Please re-check. --YMS (talk) 18:01, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mayor[edit]

List of mayors of Danzig says 1740-1753 : Carl Gottlieb Ehler (but his article says started March 1741.) RJFJR (talk) 17:27, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

confusing timeline[edit]

I'm confused here. The article says "While mayor, Ehler forged a friendship with fellow Prussian mathematician Heinrich Kuhn."; Ehler's 1735 letter refers to his friend Kuhn, but the article also says that Ehler isn't mayor until 1741. So at least one of these facts is incorrect. Arghman (talk) 01:09, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
