Fair use rationale for Image:Bttfs.jpg[edit]

Image:Bttfs.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Van Halen Song[edit]

Nice long time for a response.... The EVH song is an untitled composition . I suppose the interesting part (to a VH fan) is that it was not written specifically for BTTF, but was originally included in the 1984 film The Wild Life (which co-starred Lea Thompson). Also, The Wild Life was scored by EVH between the VH albums 1984 and 5150, so if you listen to 5150, a lot of what you are hearing are riffs and such he took from his scoring sessions. @Sdrqaz: Not sure why the page was moved to the current title, since there is no edit summary and no mention of it in the talk page. Comment: WP:NCALBUM says Use either "(soundtrack)" or the full name of a soundtrack for soundtrack albums. WP:NATDAB says that natural disambiguation is preferred to parenthetical: Using an alternative name that the subject is also commonly called in English reliable sources, albeit not as commonly as the preferred-but-ambiguous title. Support. I often wonder why soundtrack albums use a descriptive name with a disambiguation instead of the actual name of the album. "Back to the Future" isn't the name of the album. Oppose most readers/people would consider any soundtrack to be "Film Name's soundtrack" and probably aren't very aware of it being called "Original Motion Picture Soundtrack/Score"/"Music from..." etc. So in that sense, "[Film name] (soundtrack)" seems to be the proper titling. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:22, 23 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
