Independent hardware vendor

An Independent Hardware Vendor (IHV) refers to a company that designs, manufactures, and sells computer hardware components, peripherals, or systems that are compatible with a variety of software and operating systems[1]. Examples of Independent hardware vendors are Nvidia, Cisco Systems and Intel[1]
