HISTORY[edit]
"The Saratov Slasher" or "The Saratov Ripper" is the name for an possible unknown serial killer that terrorized the Russian city of Saratov, between 1994-1996. The Saratov Ripper started their killing spree by stabbing 4 teenagers in the Voskresenskoe Cemetery on March 24th 1994. The 4 teenagers (who's names have not been released to the public) where socializing in the Voskresenskoe Cemetery, when The Saratov Ripper stabbed one of them in the back of the neck. The 3 other teenagers tried to flee but were all shot by a CZ 75B pistol, killing all 3. The Saratov Ripper struck again in September, November and December, 1994, killing 9 people and bringing their victim count to 14. Then, on January 24th 1995, The Saratov Ripper broke into a grocery store on Ulitsa Rakhova street, killing 6 people before fleeing the scene. On August 29th 1995, The Saratov Ripper killed 4 children on a playground, bringing the total amount of victims up to 24. The Saratov Ripper did not kill again, until December 4th 1995, when they killed 7 people at a family reunion. The Saratov Ripper killed 3 more people between March 2nd 1996 and committed their final murder on June 16th 1996, when they killed a couple eating dinner in their house in west Saratov. The Saratov Ripper has a total victim count of 36 and has never been identified.
SUSPECTS[edit]
According to the Saratov Police, they do have a list of suspects that could possibly be The Saratov Ripper, but, the Saratov Police refuse to publicly release the list due to the lack of evidence in the existence of The Saratov Ripper. Although the murders are probably linked somehow, it is unknown if it was the work of one person, or several. Despite the lack of evidence, the Saratov Police did make a sketch of The Saratov Ripper, in 1997, based on eyewitnesses.
FOLKLORE[edit]
Although their is uncertainty on whether The Saratov Ripper is real, many residence of Saratov claim that The Saratov Ripper is fact. Some people say that it is propaganda made by the Russian Government[1]. Another theory suggests that The Saratov Ripper is folklore [2].
Appearance[edit]
The appearance of The Saratov Ripper is often debated due to the lack of eyewitness, however, most eyewitnesses describe The Saratov Ripper as a Slender white male, Around 6 feet tall, Long black hair, Long Black mustache, Brown eyes, Small, pointy nose, Small mouth, Small ears Small head, Long Limbs, Long fingers and Big feet. The Saratov Ripper Usually dressed in dark clothing and shoes and sometimes wore a mask.
