Controversies[edit]

During the 2023 Presidential election campaign, Achimugu in a series of videos released on social media, accused his former Principal, Atiku Abubakar of corrupt practices which stirred a lot of reactions.[6] These allegations were denied by the People's Democratic Party campaign spokesperson, Dino Melaye who in turn accused Achimugu of blackmail under the sponsorship of the ruling party APC.[7]

[8]Following his appointment as Director with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, spokespersons of various opposition parties condemned the appointment calling it a suspicious one[9]
