Are all French "Far right" parties monarchist? If yes, the category Category:Far right political parties in France is superfluous. If not, the category Category:Far right political parties in France is not homogeneous, which is a requirement for classification. Intangible 14:19, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You got it the wrong way around Intangible. All French monarchist parties are far right, but you also know that French fascist parties are also far right, and if you were familiar with the French far right, you would have known that it has been quite a feat to applaud for JMLP (Jean-Marie Le Pen) to manage to unite the many different traditions of the French far right in the National Front, until Mégret's split at least... What indeed in common between an aristocrat royalist and a fascist skinhead, apart a similar contempt for liberal democracy? Tazmaniacs 14:39, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Communism has a also a similar contempt for liberal democracy, should any French communist party be added to the category Category:Far right political parties in France as well? Intangible 16:02, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is Monarchism really far-right or counter-revolutionary[edit]

No, I am not a monarchist but I still don't it is far-right or counter-revolutionary. It should not be listed as such, does it want to preserve the modern values of France. No, it wants it to change. They want to keep very old values, it would be a revolution if it happened.

Like it would a Revolution if Italy(or France lol) became fascist again, they wouldn't be resisting a revolution. Monarchists would be starting a revolution not resisting one. They would be counter to revolution which they started would they.

What about liberal monarchy, a radical form of constitutional monarchy. Most French monarchists are constitutional, which at it's least radical is still not far-right. --SomeDudeWithAUserName (talk with me!) 20:07, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
