Yehia Elharmiel[edit]

Yehia Mohamed Mostafa Elharmiel (born May 7, 2004) is an Egyptian Sound Engineer focused on Mixing and Mastering especially with “Dolby Atmos” technology. A Marimba, Xylophone, Flute, Piccolo Flute, Percussion, Piano and Guitar player^[1]^[2]^[3] and focused on Photography, Videography, Editing, Directing and Filmmaking in general.^[4]

Education[edit]

He is a student at the Higher Institute of Cinema (Sound Engineering major). He got a Diploma in Percussion from the Conservatoire (first on batch), studied Composition one year at the Conservatoire (Secondary one) and Flute three years at Alexandrea’s Conservatoire (Preparatory one, …). He had some workshops like a workshop in Filmmaking at Calibre & Badrakhan Film Academy with the great legend Ali Badrakhan, a workshop in Directing with Dr. Tony Nabih, another workshop in Directing with Dr. Sherif Amasha and three online workshops with the Austrian Embassy (in Sound Design for Film & TV with the Austrian award-winning Mr. Johannes Konecny, in Jingle Design for podcasters and radiomakers with the Austrian musician Mrs. Baiba Dekena and in Lens & Lights: Strategies for succeeding in Cinematography with the American award-winning Mrs. Petra Corner). He studied his whole life at Lycée Du Pyramide School (it was his starting point to play Percussion by learning Xylophone with Mssr. Sami Abbas) and participated in every musical and artistic event there and he was the youngest Piccolo Flute player at the time in Africa, Middle East and maybe the whole world (four and half years old).

Experiences[edit]

He participated with Cairo Opera Orchestra as the youngest player there at the time (Percussion player). He has been participating in many concerts at Cairo Opera House^[5]^[6]^[7], El Sawy Culture Wheel, AUC^[8] and so many other places in Egypt.^[9] He participated in some concerts in other countries like Lebanon and Kuwait^[10] and participated in some concerts at Alexandria Film Festival. He released a single on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok called Nature (composed, played, mixed and mastered by himself). He has his own Foley project (recorded, mixed and mastered by himself)^[11]. He also participated in many projects as a Sound Engineer (Mixing, Mastering, Recording or all together). He has been involved in some other projects as a Sound Editor to educate people about the Palestinian issue and he was among 2000+ artists calling for Gaza ceasefire.^[12]^[13]^[14] He participated in the Egyptian Photojournalists Society competition for best press photo in the Daily Life branch inside Egypt. He has past experiences in designing posters, book covers and logos. He participated as a member of jury at Cairo International Film and Children's Arts Festival. He volunteered at Baheya (Breast Cancer Treatment Foundation) and ShareASmile (Feeding Foundation). He is interested in mental health and personality type topics (his personality type is Turbulent Advocate INFJ-T).

Awards and Certificates[edit]

He received many awards and certificates for many things like getting the first place at the country, governorate and school levels many times in a row whether on Flute, Piccolo Flute, Xylophone or Piano^[15]^[16], getting second and third places in a row in Chopin Competition for Piano (with the Georgian expert Mme. Elena Dzmashvili)^[17], getting the first place many times in a row at the French Cultural Center in music in general, completing workshops or participating in musical events.
