Untitled[edit]

There is some basic information at http://www.greatlakesvesselhistory.com/histories-by-name/j/jodrey-roy-a/ that could be incorporated into the article. In particular, it describes the engines and their output. I think it could be added to the propulsion section of the info box. I don't know enough about ship's propulsion to do it myself. Please forgive me, I am new to writing on Wikipedia. I believe the journey is significant and meets the notibility requirements. The wreck is uniqie because its location and size. The wreck had unique salvage and recovery attempts: the wreck was leaking a hydrocarbon and a large cleanup effort was planned. However by the time the cleanup was executed, only 6 barrels were recovered. Finally, the wreck is considered the pinnacle dive for scuba divers in the area. And there have been many diverse fatalities on the wreck. The wreck is also featured by local boat tours. The history of the wreck has been written about--though I don't have book names in front of me right now. It has also been written in the news at the time of its sinking, attempted recovery, and attempted cleanup. I belive that the ship is more notable than other wrecks in the area that have entries. In particular, it's my opinion that the wreck is more notable than the J. B. King. I'll add more when I have time. Djshaw87 (talk) 15:08, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have been working with DGG to ensure this article meets notability requirements. His biggest concern is that there is not enough non-local references. I am looking into "Great Lakes Ships We Remember" and "Ten Tales of the Great Lakes"—I am hopeful they will help resolve this issue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Djshaw87 (talkcontribs) 00:10, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
