Katherine Maher is an American manager who is the current Chief Communications Officer at the Wikimedia Foundation. On March 10 2016, it was announced that she would become the interim Executive Director on March 14, 2016,[1] following the resignation of Executive Director Lila Tretikov, which will be effective on March 31, 2016.[2]
Before joining the Wikimedia Foundation in 2014, Maher worked at AccessNow.org, the World Bank, and UNICEF.[1]
