Summary

Description
English: London Transport bus T64 (reg. WYV 64T), a 1979 Leyland Titan (B15), pictured in Eastern Avenue (the A12 road) near the tube station in Gants Hill, Redbridge, London, at the end of a journey operating London Buses route 66.

As the 88th production Titan, it's from the early batch built by the British Leyland subsidiary Park Royal Vehicles in Park Royal, London (later ones were built at Leyland's expanded factory in the Lillyhall Industrial Estate, Workington). As with the vast majority of production, it was delivered new to London Transport as part of the dual-door T-class, allocated fleet number T64.

Having been delivered to Aldenham Works in September 1979, it didn't enter service until February 1980 out of North Street garage, Romford (code NS), and is pictured here just two months later looking good as new.

It saw service in London until 1994 when, instead of being privatised into a private London operator, it passed to dealer Ensignbus, who sold it immediately to Thanet based small independent operator Eastonways. They renumbered it 22 and painted it in their coach/private hire livery of white whith blue stripes, and in July 1995 re-registering it with the cherished plate LIL 2515.

In August 1998 it returned to Ensign who sold it this time to Hams Travel of Flimwell, East Sussex, who painted it in their red & silver livery, and later returned it to its original registration. At some point it also had its route destination box panelled over.

By May 2010 it was back to Ensign for a third time, sold immediately again, this time to coach operator On-a-Mission of Soulbury, Bedfordshire, who operated it still in Hams colours.

By February 2011 it was again back at Ensign, still in the red & silver livery. At some point during or after its time with Hams Travel, it has had its centre door removed.
